Unless it was a big factor of yours growing up, you're pretty indifferent. The only thing I really recall from the movie and my childhood was the scene with one of the bouncers tapping his girl in the back room and then Swayze fires him because he claims he was on his break. :o

As someone who loves Road House, I'm fully behind of an even more idiotic version of the film. Actually given how batpoo crazy he appears to be in real life, Vin Diesel would be perfect to spit out Daltonisms without any hint of irony.

I absolutely love the original but yet again half the reason this film is good is because of the era it was made, the 80's was a perfect setting for this kind of film. It's really a sad thing that establishments like the one in Roadhouse pretty much don't exist the way that they used to.

I love the original, so I am hesitant to get behind the remake. However, there is a little bit of dream casting...

For Dalton, I would love to see Ryan Gosling approach it as seriously as Drive, since his extremely serious take on it would be a perfect contrast of how silly the movie really is.

It's a damn shame that Patrick Swayze is dead (for many reasons). If he was alive, I would love to see him as Wade Garrett in a remake (or an older Dalton, playing a role similar to Wade's in a remake/sequel mix).

I liked the original but it holds no special memories to me so I'm not against a remake. At the same time I'm also not really that enthused about going to see it either.

The original was an accidentally cult classic like Point break. Why remake it when it's so niche?

That and Rob Cohen sucks now. His glory days are behind him so instead of getting fun bad movie, you'll get a tedious bore.

Which is sad because an Alex Cross movie shouldn't be at that level.

A Nicolas Winding Refn remake of Roadhouse starring Gosling is probably the only version of this project I'd support.

But a Road House remake on the other hand...

It depends. The only 'mainstream' movie (Excluding The Room, etc.) that was so bad that it was good was the remake of The Wicker Man me thinks.

She's finally found a film worthy of her exceptional acting talent.

Wow. Now I wanna see them recreate the sex scene.

If anyone can replace Patrick Swayze with a female equivalent, it would probably be Rousey.

Wonder if she will be into chicks or into dudes in the movie?

She can't act, not even a little bit. :funny:

Make it like Haywire and surround her with A-list male talent.

Sir Ian McKellen, Daniel Day Lewis, Tom Hardy and Idris Elba. In a Roadhouse remake. Makes perfect sense.

For this movie acting is merely secondary to just looking like a badass and kicking the other not quite as badasses. Swayze didn't really have to act in Roadhouse. He just had to be good with a roundhouse. :o

The question is why? Why do they think this will make money? This is probably the most random remake I've heard of :b
