James Bond: 007 - Spectre - - - Part 12

didnt craig stop it also because of his 'arrow to the knee' he took for Spectre? i think when he said he wont come back, he was being serious, so im rather not expecting craig to star as bond again - which i dislike as ive grown to really enjoy him as bond.

i am curious on whoever will portray the new bond, how theyre gonna incorporate him in the movie. Daniel kindof made a 'Bond Begins' 'Bond origins' and 2 'I am Bond' movies. they fit the character great, and lets be honest, in the Craigverse,
bond wasnt the youngest of guns. Both Brosnan and Dalton atleast seemed younger.
Also, M has been changed from her female role to a male Mallory M role, which kinda turns it back into what it originally was. Q last time was 'still' the young nerd. Fits with today's world, though i enjoyed the goofy and crazy original Q and the shortlived Cleese-Q.

I wonder what they'll do and what the contract deals are with the rest of the cast.

I have to say, I was hoping to see Craig in the role one last time, both to redeem Spectre as well as to see an actor play the role in more than four films for the first time since the Roger Moore years.

Of for **** sake, Charlie Hunnam again? How does this guy keep getting his name on shortlists for stuff like this? Does anyone actually like him other than casting directors and Sons of Anarchy fans? Did people WATCH Pacific Rim and Crimson Peak? He SUCKS! He'd be the worst Bond since Lazenby.

He's been building traction for awhile

Could do worse than Turner. With the right haircut and a little muscle packed on - like Craig did for the first Bond film - he could certainly fit the part aesthetically anyway. He's got that smouldering but dangerous look going on just like Dalton did.

I know my pick isn't even on most people's radar, but I like James McAvoy for Bond. Make Bond Scottish Again! :o

He's my choice too

And yet NO ONE has said which studio will now be getting the rights now that Sony lost them? THAT should be a bigger deal ATM than next actor!

It's just distribution right's that's up for grabs. The Broccoli's and Michael Wilson will still be in charge and the decision makers.

It was suggested a while ago that MGM might even try to get back into the distribution business themselves, but we'll see how that turns out.

I thought Aidan Turner might be okay, but having seen more of him, I think he's a little too soft and maybe still a bit young.

Can't see it myself. Fantastic actor but don't think he fits Bond looks wise or voice-wise.

Especially if he does his Batman voice. :hehe:

Having rewatched Man From UNCLE recently, still think Cavill would be great. Take away the soft-edged delivery of his lines in the comedic film and make it more obvious he's a trained killer, and I'd be all for it.

Christian Bale has an Oscar and has been Batman. He doesn't need Bond even if they were considering him.

I could see the role boring him. He'd probably do 3 contracted movies and be out of the door after that

I actually want a lesser known actor. A well known actor usually feels out of place

Like any movie with Tom Cruise now.

You don't see the character. You see Tom Cruise.

They always go with lesser known actors for Bond. They don't usually become household names until they play the role. That was certainly the case for Craig. He had a few higher profile roles under his belt but Bond made him famous. Pierce Brosnan is another example. I think the biggest movie he did before Bond was Mrs. Doubtfire.

but Brosnan was on TV for quite some time in "Remington Steele"

Which is part of the reason I don't see Fassbender or Elba being chosen.

Finally watched Spectre last night. After all the bad things I've heard about it, I was expecting a piece of crap. But I ended up liking it a lot. Shame Craig is done. I really like him as Bond.

People are just assuming Craig is done. Nothing has been confirmed. Chances are he'll be back.

Cavill is Superman the dude doesn't need a second major franchise.
