It just dawned on me to ask: how are Americans pronouncing Daniel Craig's name?

The reason I ask this is because I notice a lot of Americans pronouncing the name "Craig" as Creg rhyming with "peg" (ie a short "e" as in egg).

But British people usually pronounce "Craig" to rhyme with "vague" (ie a long "a" as in bake). And that's how Daniel Craig pronounces his name too.

So do you Americans say Daniel Creg?
