Ugh, I got an e-mail yesterday from my parents who are visiting London at the moment with a picture of them standing next to a "Filming in Progress" sign on the Thames. Of course they were filming this. As if I wasn't jealous enough of their vacation before. :(

Trust me, Bond filming or not, you shouldn't be jealous of your parents for visiting London...It's...Hell :o

I've been to London twice. What's so hellish about it?

Not sure, I like it too. I like that Mendes has chosen London as an integral location for both his Bond movies. Big Ben and the houses of parliament are iconic to Britain and look great at night. Should be a great sequence.

Are they still planning on releasing this in November? It just started filming in January and having such a short turnaround time kind of makes me nervous.

Yeah short of Craig being severely injured or killed this film won't be bumped out of the traditional November slot.

SPECTRE's start date is only 2 months later than Skyfall's start date. Skyfall didn't start filming until November 7, 2011 ,and that was Mendes first Bond film and he pulled it off. This being his second Bond film and a well oiled machine I'm sure it will be just fine. All Bond films have had relatively short turnarounds.

Who's the woman in the boat? I know it's not but she looks like Gillian Anderson. She would be amazing in a bond film

I think they are filming since december.
The woman on the boat is [BLACKOUT]lea seydoux[/BLACKOUT]

You want to be up north, people! We have the Lake District...Durham Cathedral and Alnwick Castle, where they filmed Harry Potter...and Newcastle United...:(

kinda funny thinking London is set in at least two more upcoming big action flicks this year. which are new Mission Impossible and the Gerard Butler as a gov agent movie(I don't even remember its title).

I'm a northerner and, yeah, despite having lots of relatives in London, I'm not exactly its biggest fan.

I can understand disliking certain parts of London but there are 32 London boroughs which are all diverse.

Kensington is different to Peckham.
Hackney is different to Bromley.
Westminster is different to Camden.

I find it hard to believe anyone can hate every single area of the city.

Usually when people not from London say they dislike the city they usually mean central London.
