Maybe she's playing Blofeld's wife? That would add some substance to him by giving him a family. Blofeld could be almost like Wilson Fisk the Kingpin.

The unique thing about this Blofeld would be that he actually plays the part of his wife when he's not in the same room. He's got two faces - Waltz face and Bellucci face.

It's crazy to think Blofeld might be back. The worst kept secret since everyone's talking about it. Hell, on Comingsoon.net, the heading for the news was 'Watlz as BLOFELD IN BOND 24' in bold letters.

I could almost see them twist Blofeld into one of those dictators (but more along the lines of a secret terrorist per-say) who hide behind 'money/family/country' while allowing death and destruction of millions behind closed doors...

Based upon that one guy from a few years ago, i can't remember his name but he was a very evil man... who also was married to a very rich British lady. His wife and her kids barely even lived in the country she was 'married' to, she just shopped and lived the life around London or something.

It'd be a neat way on unraveling his empire, Britain can't legally touch him but Bond can.

Like this film will lead to Bond unearthing this evil, and then the next film is Blofeld actually against Bond.

Blofeld shouldn't be the main villain in this movie but the shadowy force behind another villain whom Bond thinks is the main man. Blofeld really needs to be set up as a recurring villain.

They should call this movie "The Phantom (Spectre) Menace"

I think the juxtaposition of Craig's Bond in a more fantastical movie like the later Connery films or the Roger Moore ones would be pretty cool actually.

Craig's Bond films are pretty fantastical enough. They are simply done right. I mean seriously, just watch Casino Royale and Skyfall. All three Craig Bond films embrace the cliches, while doing them in a clever, fun and modern manner. The lead, writing, directing and overall acting helps a lot.

- Everything is perfect. Life is great.

In all seriousness, the combined mix of Sam Mendes, Waltz as Blofeld, the return of Spectre/Blofeld, the return of a classic muscle villain (Batista), it's really shaping up to be the best Bond movie ever. Plus Moneypenny, Q, and M are all established... Man, this could be the Classic Bond movie we've been waiting 10 years for.

we don't know yet. we know EON has the rights for Spectre and Blofeld back since last year and Waltz is heavily rumored to play him. Also a rumor showed up yesterday that the new movie will be called SPECTRE. we will know more on Thursday

Maybe Quantum is a branch of SPECTRE or they were absorbed by SPECTRE. Wouldnt be hard for QUANTUM to be dealt with in like a minute of screen time. Bond says something like

Bond - "What about QUANTUM?"

M - "These people absorbed QUANTUM."

Or something along that line. Its neat and clean and doesnt leave us wondering where QUANTUM disappeared to.

Oh, btw I got lucky the other day; have had the first 5 novels from that noir-cover version from Penguin in 2004/2006. And, sadly they were discontinued but did get the whole 14 novel set w/ box used, should be in the mail any day now...

I have two of those novels too, YOLT and Dr. No, great cover artwork. I wish they weren't dicontinued that fast as it is almost impossible to get one of those nowadays and the completist in me just wants them all and refuses to buy other versions

Imagine if it's called 'The Property of a Lady', Monica Belluci being the head of Quantum, thus her property. And SPECTRE stomps in, creating a turf war led by Waltz's far more dangerous Blofeld. It would be an interesting twist that in the heat of this conflict which Bond enters, Belluci effectively becomes the Bond girl. t:

I disagree, Quantum sounds like a stylish name. SPECTRE was cool, but i think the name has been way too used and for the new Bond films i think Quantum fits better as a name.

I don't know if Serena Ryder is known outside of Canada, but this must have been her attempt at a Bond song. I can't imagine she wasn't thinking Bond when she wrote this
