James Bond 24 - Part 3

Just read Moonraker and noted how different, and better it is than the film counterpart. I wouldn't mind if they made a faithful adaptation of the book or at least something heavily inspired by. Didn't Skyfall have elements of book TMWGG?

I still think that Moonraker was a hilarious B-movie with the worst henchman on Earth. It's weird that after Oddjob, who wasn't a insensitive Asian stereotype (at least for that time), that they went with Chang or whatever, who is the king of Asian stereotypes.

Was it really that weird after taking You Only Live Twice into consideration?

I mean, yeah. But I think they should've known better by the late 70's, in a post-Bruce Lee world.

When you add Roger Moore to the mix, everything has to be camped up at least one level.

Roger was essentially Bugs Bunny, haha. I liked him in the role, and made it work.

I love Roger's Moore Bond for what it was, a campier version of James Bond. Sometimes it went too far with the campiness, but I felt that Moore did his best in the role, and after the first two go-around he felt a lot more comfortable in the role from Spy Who loved Me onwards, even when the material wasn't as strong.

Im not so sure I can see Craig's Bond using a Union Jack parachute and Im not sure I want to.

Your imagination must be flagging.

I will not rest until I see him on an hovercraft gondola.

Not before I get to see stone faced Daniel Craig flipping a car over a rickety bridge with looney tunes sound effects

Or squaring off with a midget

Good grief "The Man With A Golden Gun" was an embarrassment

Daniel Craig. Christoph Waltz. Peter Dinklage.

The Man With Two Golden Guns. Coming Summer 2018.

Roger Moore should still be playing Bond to this day.

He kind of ended up looking like some wild-eyed British version of James Garner.

Something that I have always seen said is that Roger Moore is the nicest guy ever to have played the part. That's a great plaudit to have.

He looks younger than Daniel Craig when he first took on the role in 2006. :oldrazz:

EDIT: He looks younger than Henry Cavill when he was deemed too young for CR.

Without a doubt. He's a great ambassador and supporter of the franchise. He'll always be proud of his association and never shy from it.

Read some of his memoirs the other day. Brilliant and hilarious stuff from a brilliant and hilarious guy.

Legend.

Icon.

The fact that Roger Moore will actually sign photos of Sean Connery, just because of a two-second throwaway joke on The Simpsons, makes this man a god in my eyes.

And so it begins...

Construction has begun in Obertilliach, Austria, for Bond 24 location filming in January or February next year.

Local newspaper Kleine Zeitung got the first glimpse at the preparation work already underway in the South West of the country. The tiny municipality of Obertilliach in Tyrol - population 693 - will see 007 in action in January or February next year.

According to reports, a small team of 10-12 crew members are constructing a temporary building on the outskirts of Obertilliach that will either be blown up or see a plane crash in to it during the film.

Around 3 days of filming on Bond 24 is expected to take place in the nearby tiny picturesque mountain town which sits at an elevation of almost 5,000 feet.

Either that, or the movie will consist of Bond overseeing the construction of a new addition to the Skyfall estate, and then having it evaluated by five gay guys.
