I had a feeling that second unit would start their shoot earlier than principle photography. For what it's worth, the December start date is kinda late for a movie like this, with a late October/Early Nov 2015 release.

Bond 24 to film in Morocco for around 15 days in Casablanca and Tangier
Bond 24 - 25-09-14
As MI6 exclusively revealed this past weekend, Daniel Craig traveled to Morocco on Saturday for an early location recce for Bond 24.

Local press reports now confirm that filming in Morocco is expected to last 15 days with the principal cast.

Specifically, Casablanca and Tangier will be used for shooting.

The production team previously scouted the country back in the spring.

The news comes hot on the heels of the first Bond 24 set photo from Austria.

How exciting! I wonder where else they will go? I'm dying for cast information

Craig in Marrakesh with Mark Strong. Craig's looking in great shape.

He always does, he has Rachel Weisz to help him exercise.

Is Mark Strong involved in this?

Interesting seeing Strong there, always thought he'd be a good antagonist for Craig's Bond.

Excited about Morocco!

Mark Strong and Daniel Craig are best mates (Craig is godfather of Strong's kid) so they might just be hanging out together.

It would be great if Strong did have a role in this movie though

Mates since Our Friends in the North.

Mark Strong as a reimagined, badasser version of Blofeld would be interesting.

Would you have an appearance of Blofeld with THAT cat?

I mean, even Never Say Never Again which was an unofficial 007 film used this 'gimick' which was not in Fleming's books.

Fortunately or unfortunately, due to Austin Powers they can't use anything even approaching the classic stereotype, otherwise the audience would go "oh look, it's Dr. Evil," and the movie gets taken off track.

So no cat. Maybe Blofeld can have a couple of tigers behind a glass wall as pets as a nod to that affectation, but no handheld pets.

No thanks, Strong is really overused as a villain. Also, they should go for a non-bald, non-Brit as Blofeld as in the books. It is also not much of a re-imagining. Strong would just be the Telly Savalas version with an English accent.

How about Swedish actor Mikael Persbrandt as a Bond villain?

I would probably keep the cat angle but dump everything else just so everyone knows it's definiteky blofeld.

I actually see mark strong playing someone who might have trained bond tbh. I know they're about the same age but mark can probably play older. He's such an amazing actor

Mark Strong is in the middle of filming Grimsby. He has nothing to do with the production of Bond 24.

Good choice. I find that a Scandinavian/German accent is perfect for Blofeld. Eric Pohlmann's voice in From Russia with Love and Thunderball was awesome. To me, it gives the character the right amount of cold, calculating menace. When I re-read the Fleming books, I hear Pohlman's voice.

Eric's voice kinda reminds me of the original voice of Boba Fett. It's almost cartoony in a pulpy way and yet realistic enough that you can believe in it.

Good pick.

Jason Issacs is still waiting for his pal Daniel Craig to put a word in for a role in a Bond film :funny:

There a lot of good actors who would be happy just to be an extra in a Bond film.

Maybe he's just doing a cameo?

Anyway, I hope sam smith is still being considered for the theme. Who else would be a good choice? I hope they don't get anyone too poppy like ariana grande even though I like her music
