James Cameron's Spider-Man

Biehn made a good villain in The Abyss. The guy works really well with Cameron.

 

I'm not done reading it but I don't see what the big deal is with this script. The only strange thing I could think of back then was the organic webbing and that's really a non- isssue now so what about the script is so risque?

 

Not in 1991, when DiCaprio was 17, but certainly in 1997 Cameron mentioned DiCaprio as Spidey in a radio interview.

 

Thank goodness 20th Century Fox didn't follow that philosophy, and gave the director of Terminator the second Alien movie....

 

Too bad Cameron never uses Biehn anymore. Guy seriously needs to be a high quality film again.

 

But he started the Spider-Man project in 1991, right? Then I am sure he had Biehn in his thoughts for one of the characters.

 

I have never heard of this interesting any links?

 

Biehn's superb. Lt. Coffey and Sgt. Reese are two completely different people to me.

If a role pops up for him in Avatar 2, I really hope he gets it.

 

Well, here's something that some of you may or may not find cool; Cameron initially started talking to Marvel, not to make a Spidey film, but to make an X-Men film.

Thoughts?

Imagine if Cameron had been second unit director on Singer's X-Men films, i.e. shooting the action for him (we all know Singer didn't do it himself).

 

I'd have loved to have seen it happen. I doubt there's a member here who is a bigger James Cameron fanboy than I am. Whatever he wants to do with anything, it's a ticket sold, probably more like seven or eight.

I remember reading one time about a proposed Spidey movie with Doc Ock as the villain. He called his tentacles "Waldo's" and had a sidekick named Weiner. Wasn't that by Cameron?

an early-mid 90s Cameron X-Men with Biehn as Cyclops would have been EPIC I tell you. Maybe even bulk and dirty Bill Paxton up for Wolverine.

 

Not sure about Paxton as Wolvie but Michael Biehn as Cyclops would have been AWESOME.

 

Years ago when it first leaked, I made my own script based on the outline. Some other folks I showed it to enjoyed it. LOL..

 

I like the one with Sandman/Electro. Okey-Dokey Doctor Octopus was bad.
