ok the other day i called up my friend at his new job to see what time he was free. Now we have all known him as eather Jim or Jimmy, so when I called i asked for Jimmy, the guy on the other end says no one by that name works there. so I asked for James and the dumbass says he's there.

now this may not seem like a big thing but he never when by James in all the time that i have known him, not even his mom and dad called him that. that is untill he got married and his wife renamed him and turned him into her bich. now every one is calling him James, when this guy is not a james he is a jimmy. and the kicker is that his wife Debra must be called Deb because if you call her Debra she gets mad.

You guys are a bit too particular.

Still, this was funny:

if you'd do this for me: tell DEBRA to go F#ck herselve and tell JIMMY to grow a pair, i'd be eternally greatful...

my father is Jimmy to our family but Jim at work. Jimmy sounds like youre 15 and have freckles. Jim or James is more professional sounding

Should have said "anyone with a J in the name work there?"

*enter John Edward*

"I have a feeling that someone on that end of the line has a J name, yes/no?"

Jim. Jim West.

given your opening post, shouldn't the title of the thread been "Jimmy > James", then, or "James < Jimmy", since that's obviously how you feel about it??? ;)

It's quite a common name around here and most guys I know call themselves James in a work environment.

you sound like our friend joe. and we have all told him to grow a pair.

My first name's James and there was a particular neighbor that called me Jimmy. That'll be something to remember him by since he moved. I guess he had a hard time pronouncing my real name, so I let it slide. I have a friend named Jimmy -- I don't think he likes to be called James.

My dad is named James and he has always gone by Jamey

i would call him James if thats what HE wanted people to call him but i know that its because his cow er wife has renamed him James and he goes along with everything that she says because he doesn't want to make the decisions (his words).
the man is so whiped that they don't get into fights because he lets her win all the time he folds faster then superman on laundry day.

My name is Chris. I dont give a damn if people call me chris or christopher, hell my friends call me Crispy and thats fine by me. I dont understand why people get so mad about what people call them. Unless you are caslling them a bad name and trying to hurt them by it.
