Walk the Line helmer James Mangold is attached to direct an untitled legal thriller for L.A.-based production and finance company Bold Films, reports Variety.
Mangold's wife, Cathy Konrad, is producing through their Treeline Films.
The script is based on the true story of a pair of New Orleans lawyer brothers who took on a multinational oil company and its heavyweight legal teams to rep the rights of the families of an oil rig that sank in a typhoon.
Sasha Jenson and Casey La Scala wrote the screenplay.
Mangold's directing credits also include 3:10 to Yuma, Identity, Kate & Leopold, Girl, Interrupted and Cop Land.
