That was a good Goblin design.

I'm in a "wait and see" mood in regards to Foxx's Electro comics. It merely confirmed my suspicions that Electro was chosen because he is relatively unknown outside of the comic world and they'd be able to make some pretty drastic changes to him without many people having a problem with it.

 

If the Green Goblin does turn up then I'd rather they go with a different look to the Alex Ross design. I would like to see a mask that isn't a helmet, but they can loose the rags clothing and satchel.

 

The thing I want from Alex Ross's design the most is the face and hood, everything else can be re-imagined.

Yeah, I think the mask is a highlight of that design.

 

Its still faithful to the original costume, but it would be different enough to work on screen IMO.

 

Did a manip for fun with the costume resembling the classic one.
I prefer Electro wearing a practical costume that he has constructed with complex mechanisms, instead of him being energy like or wearing a dull black costume.

Not that bad, looks a little weird though.

 

It would be great if his powers are that high that he can't control them, so he creates a sort of mechanism, like the one he has on the picture of above. I'd like to see something with gold and black rather than full black.

 

I kinda think he could look like this, Black Lightning....





That's just a suggestion, it don't think it would look good.

 

Didn't they say his costume would have electronic equipment? He is referred to as a genius after all, I think he would come up with something cool.

 

When I read what Jami Foxx said about Electro:

 

They have to stop playing it safe. Give us an actual evil villain. Not some good guy turned evil or misunderstood villain crap. I gotta say, I'm worried about TASM2.

 

Same here. Everything I've heard hasn't really excited me.

 

Is it because Doc Ock was a great character and Alfred did a great job playing as him that Sony feels they must repeat the formula for every damn villain?

 

I'm seriously scratching my head here. People cry foul because he won't have his classic green and yellow colors. Turns out though they will keep the whole inferiority complex angle from the comics, where he was mistreated for most of his life and people use this too to complain.

So what would make everyone happy? A costume with his classic yellow and green colors and no explanation for his evilness?

 

His back story and origin is relatively unknown in the comic world aswell

 

I don't care about the inferiority complex, I don't like how Foxx is describing the character. He can feel inferior, but I want him to be evil.

 

Yes, the costume thing bugs me. I feel that a plain black suit is cheap and lazy. Do I want the classic costume on the big screen? No. The suit CAN be black, but give it more color with the green and yellow. I want something other than a plain black suit.


I also don't like the fact that he's going to be a fan of Spider-Man who eventually turns to a villian. He's describing the character as a guy who's obsessed with Spider-Man. Then something goes wrong and he goes crazy on the city. They're basically making him a sympathetic villian. That's something we've seen in every Spider-Man film.

 

So, whenever one of these people go on a shooting rampage, because they've mostly lead a miserable life and blame everyone else around them, do you find them sympathetic, or view them as little ***** who simply can't get their act together?

If you want someone who is simply pure evil, just be patient. Green Goblin will appear in this Trilogy.
