So, not that picture specifically? Cause in that picture, the tattoos are hardly noticeable and, facially, there are elements that recall BTAS and Capullo Joker:

When we saw a brief shot in the trailer of Joker I thought he may look better when we got a look of him in his jacket. However this is worse than I imagined. The look is just terrible in my eyes. Hopefully his performance is actually good enough to make me forget his looks, but at this point I'm about ready to write off much of the underwhelming aesthetics of Ayer's Suicide Squad.

Yeah, that picture is really no more radical, "un-Joker-like", or comic-inaccurate than Heath's Joker looked in his interrogation scene -- with the addition of a proper straight jacket.

Then again, some people see what they want to see and I can tell that there are some who have already made up their minds about the look. Virtually nothing would sway or change their opinions outside of a total redesign of this Joker with the removal of his tattoos and the addition of a more classic purple or something. So be it.

Same. It all completely hinges on his performance now for me.

I see the comparison with Capullo Joker, but the BTAS Joker just seems like night and day with Leto's Joker.

One thing I'm really digging about this Joker is the shade/hue of his lips (no homo) in lieu of the usual bright red lipstick/lips. It really evokes the shade of The Joker's lips in various animated media projects. His BB: Return of the Joker look immediately comes to mind. Same goes for the black around his eyes.

Still hate the tats and the jokers style(flashy rather than classic gangster) but that shot of the interview is getting me hyped
