Jared Leto IS The Joker - Part 9

Do you find LeJo's laughter infectious? I don't know, every time I hear his "eh he he he he", I just grin stupidly.
It's a cool, one-off type of laugh. Hope it's not the main one, because it doesn't have the punch I'd expect Joker's cackle to have.

Even Ledger didn't reach those crescendos.

I think some of us have just been spoiled by Mark Hamill's big/crazy Joker Laugh.

I think Mark is just blessed with the ability to REALLY laugh, and sadly not many people can pull off a laugh like that without straining their vocal cords to death.

It's also probably harder when you're having to act in front of the camera and be physical...and still try and pull off a good laugh. As opposed to perfecting it behind the camera when you're just standing in front of a microphone.

So I hope that Leto can go big with his laugh, but if he can't reach Mark Hamill crescendo levels of laughter I won't hold it against him. Mark's just got some d*** good vocal chords. :woot:

I love the laugh we heard, but like Jekecy said, it's probably a one off.

It's too drawn-out and purposeful to be his base laugh.

The idea of a former Robin being the Joker is interesting. When you think about it, there is a possibility that there is something to it. The silver-capped teeth after losing his teeth from receiving a beating from the original Joker, the tattoos symbolising the beating and what he remembers from it such as the Jokers crazy laughter while he hits him "HAHAHA", Jokers smile while he sees Robin suffer (the grin tattoo on his arm) and the dead bird tattoo saying that Robin is now dead. There is also the "Damaged" tattoo which is how the original Joker left him.

If the Joker is a former Robin, perhaps it is Dick Grayson as he is the Robin that the main audience and casual viewers will be more familiar with. He would also have the greatest potential for shock value and it would be seen as a greater twist. Correct me if I am wrong but I think it was Grayson's grave that was shown. So if they do the Red Hood or Robin becomes the Joker story then perhaps it will be him that they use.

You could perhaps ask how is the Joker so pale if he was a former Robin? That could debunk the theory of Joker being a former Robin, unless he was subjected to the same chemicals as the original Joker of course.

Like I said, the idea of Joker being a former Robin is interesting and I would be open-minded to it, but I would prefer it if they had Joker just being the Joker and not Dick, Jason or Tim. But if they have better stories to tell with Joker being a former Robin than they would have to tell with him not being a former Robin then I say go for it and make the greatest film and tell the best story that you can.

If it is the former Robin then they let it leak out and ruin everything. The thing with Nolan twists is nobody saw them coming. But I'm sure which ever way they take it will be very interesting.

Times when former Robins have ended up being the Joker/the villain

The Dark Knight Strikes Again
Batman: Under the Hood

Movies:
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
Batman: Under the Red Hood.

Batman: Arkham Knight[/blackout]

It's not like it's a story that hasn't been done or known to fans, and I personally wouldn't mind a live action incarnation of it.

its a silly idea

there's no way that Robin is the one that corrupts Harley Quinn

Joker is Joker, there's no stupid contrived and pointless twist here

I'm not saying it's what we're getting, but to say the theory is too silly or contrived, just isn't true considering the amount of source material there is that can support it.

like two stories? One of them one of the most badly written and universally hated Batman comics of all time, the other an elseworlds story about the future of Gotham city? :funny:

Three stories actually, 4 if you read the spoiler one.
And from what I've gathered, only the story of TDKSA is badly written and not liked.
The Red Hood storyline has universal praise from what I've seen, the same goes for the Batman Beyond movie, and for the last example.

I have no problem with Robin being Red Hood, I'm challenging the idea of him being "Joker"

And I get that, and I agree with you, but I'm disagreeing on the point that the fan theory has no solid support.

Maybe he isn't joker but he transforms him into red hood and that is the joke. I love surprises.

Exactly. I can't believe anyone actually thinks this is plausible or has solid support. It's not and it doesn't.

Maybe Joker is actually torturing Robin in the end of Suicide Squad! :wow::eek:

Except that it is and it does.

Margot Robbie can be anything and it would be fine with me :hrt:

Not to sidetrack too much, but it makes me so happy she was cast as Harley. She literally is the perfect actress in Hollywood at the moment to finally breathe live action cinematic life into the role.

Yes indeed. :hmr:

No. Not really. It's just some silly ass rumor that keeps getting repeated, and I can't wait until the movie comes out and we put an end to that nonsense once and for all.
