batman: hey spandex, what's that mermaid guy doing?
superman: he talks to the fish
batman: really? so he is the fish whisperer or what?

It makes sense for a hero/vigilante to give themselves a trade name when they want to enjoy the benefits of a secret identity. Batman, Superman, most Green Lanterns, Flashes etc clearly want that. Does Aquaman need it? I'm not sure, as I am no expert on the character, but on the face of it the the monarch of an underwater realm probably couldn't hide his identity. If that's the case, then the name Aquaman might as well come from someone else.
Based on the the stories I've read (Kingdom Come, and Geoff John's new 52 storyline), it is implied that the moniker 'Aquaman' was coined by those on the surface.

Lois: What does that shape mean?
Arthur: What shape?
Lois: On your belt. It looks like an A.
Arthur: It's not an A. It's the symbol of Atlantis.
Lois: Well, here, it looks like an A...how about...
Random Soldier: AQUAMAN!!!
Lois: FFS! I was supposed to call him that!
Arthur: **** you both you disrespectful pricks!

Street Sharks, man that takes me back. So many Ninja Turtles rip offs so little time.

I'm a Nintendo girl, I remember when my parents brought home the NES. Though I was more excited about the Big Wheels that they also purchased.

But I digress, the point is I know of Battle Toads but I never played the game.

Yeah, I only played it a few times. I just remember when it came out... I think I was in the fourth grade... and even at that young age, I still remember thinking, "It's a Turtles ripoff!"

Does no-one remember Samurai Pizza Cats? That was a Turtles rip off.

I love Samurai Pizza Cats.

Also, Biker Mice From Mars, which people consider a TMNT rip-off, was ****ing awesome.

I wish real monarchs gave themselves superhero names. Prince William would be Copterman, Prince Harry would be Tankman and Prince Charles would be Preservationofhistoricarchitectureman.

For those that know what I'm talking about, what are ya'll's thoughts on the Hamilton suit from the 80's AM mini series? Does anyone want to see that adapted? Even as just a suit worn for a specific moment or the like?
