Should they make a third Jeepers Creepers? And if so what should i be about? Should it be a sequel or prequel? I heard from one site its going to be a prequel and how exactly the creeper came about and if he ever was a human or a creature from the start?

Me i liked both of the movies. The first one was on Sci-Fi tonight and i watched some of it. I think there both way underrated. And people only give it flak cause who the director is and what he's done in his past.

I have no idea who the director is but I say they are both trash, the second more than the first but the first was still very bad. I was digging it up until the part where he sprouted wings. It just came off as ridiculously idiotic.

That's when it came off as ridiculously new and fresh rather than ridiculously generic(and considering the fact this was promoted as a creature film, anyone that didn't want that shouldn't have watched).
The first one is a terrific blend of a human serial killer film and a supernatural monster movie with two terrific leads, the second is an excellent action/horror revenge film.
A third film will get made eventually, there's a rights dispute going on right now between MGM/UA and Rogue Pictures, who want to buy the rights to make JC3.

Yeah thats the one part that made me really like the movie when they showed the wings and the face opened up. I thought that was just badass right there.

Isn't MGM owned by Sony pictures now? And how did Rogue get into the picture? And would you like Victor Salva to direct this one aswell?

Rogue doesn't own the rights, they just want to; and yes, Sony owns MGM/UA now.

Yes, Salva's a terrific director, easily one of the most underrated filmmakers around. I'm yet to see a film from him that isn't good to great.

Oh yeah? I could possibly see Sony use there smaller company screen gems in assiocation with lionsgate like they did with hostel to produce and put out the movie. Or they could just sell the franchise all together to a different company if there not willing to make any more JC movies.

the only movies i've seen from him are the JC's movies and i thought they were awesome.

I've seen Powder (great), Rites of Passage (good), Clownhouse (good), Peaceful Warrior (great), JC and JC 2 (two of my favorites).

i liked the second one.....

i would def. watch a third just as long as its not butchered

Since he has Francis Ford Coppolla backing him and usually producing his films, he doesn't have to worry about studio butchery very much.

Never saw the first one, thought the second one was a stupid piece of garbage--essentially, bunch of teenage boys beating the crap out of each other, tossing about homophobic/erotic moment after homophobic/erotic moment, one gets eaten by the f**king monster, rinse, lather, repeat, spin, yadda yadda yadda.

I hope to the movie gods that a third doesn't get made.

They never bet the crap out of each other, and the only homoeroic moments were a few scenes where they had their shirts off, hardly out of place for a high school basketball team, and the homophobic ascept to the characters was a part of the films point. Personal prejudice is self-destructive, especially in times when people should be working together.

Loved the 1st movie but didn't like the 2nd as much. The 2nd one was funny though.

As for the 3rd. I like to see a prequel more than a sequel. I've read some good ideas for a prequel on some other boards. There's one where it would serve as an origins type movie. Possibly taking place during the medieval times :word: Then there's a cheesy one where it takes place during the Old West.

Either way. I probably watch the 3rd movie anyways.

First one was a lame noughties hollywood horror.
The second was an awesome B-movie monster flick.
Personally I would want a continuation of the end of JC2.

First one was damn good, a breath of Fresh air. Personally though, I skipped seeing it in the Theatre because of the bad press about Silvas past, but was kicking myself later. The day after i returned the rental I bought the DVD.

The 2nd flick was okay, I really wished it was more about the stuff happening off the bus dealing with those worthless kids. And I didn't like the ending, it all came to an end to quickly.

Well, it was a while since I watched it, and I was kinda forced to.

They shouldn't make another one unless they do something new with the character.

I only liked the first one. The second one was boring. I don't see how third one would be any better. But you never know...

I walked in knowing it was some type of creature film but it was never exactly advertised that he'd be flying so it's not like I could have known. The beginning/middle showed promise. You know, like not knowing what the hell they were dealing with, just trying to find out what was down that hole, all good suspense.. especially with the "B eating u" truck smacking into them, that was all great. Seeing him with the tongue in that persons ear, all good. Just seeing the wings took every cool aspect I just saw and turned it into cheese. It did not better the film for me.

I loved both of these movies. I wouldn't mind a third. I especially loved the ending of #2.

I really want a third "Jeepers Creepers" movie.
