Jekyll

As much as i enjoyed the Foo Fighters at live earth last week, i did miss this show, back this saturday though so can't wait.

Last nights episode was good, loved Nesbits portrayal of the meek Jackman. I wonder which one was realeased at the end, notice there was no next time trailer. Im going to go out on a limb here and say that Dr Tom Jackman is really Dr Henry Jekyll, that he did not die explaining the fact that of why Jekyll had no decendents but Jackman has the same problems. I called it first! By the way how many episodes are left?

There are 6 episodes, the DVD is out soon. Another good episode. Not the series best, but great all the same. Jackmans wife is improving all the time IMO.

This weeks episode was a great, chilling origin. There where some clichés but still well acted and produced. The scene with the ice cream was great you could feel the supressed rage and hopelessness on display.

I hope we get another series.

i was checking bbca for any info on this show it starts there aug 4that 8 p.m. as part of what they bill"supernatural saturday"

I liked Nesbitt in Murphy's Law as well, is there going to be anymore series of that anytime soon??

i don't know, hex perhapsyou might check the bbca site
i posted the jekyll info as a public service of sorts

I know, i was just interested in what other British shows you Americans were watching?

Anyone agree with me?

My guess is that
Jackman is the child of the original Mr. Hyde. Jekyll had no children, but Hyde did

I can see this happening too, they've been very careful to emphasise Jekyll had no kids, but what stopped Hyde from sowing his oats with his extra libido?

I think that

the change to Hyde was already written into the original Jekylls DNA. The excitment or passion he felt for or around the maid (and currently his wife) initiates the change. The difference now is that Hyde loves the wife as well. I don't think she causes the change, jekylls/jackman reaction to her does. Shes a catalyst. (I think)

Anyway Sat's ep was more like a traditional TV show for me, with hints at soon becoming an ongoing series. It was a bit filler, but great all the same.

The resolution between the two was awesome, as was the energy absorption. The humour was good as well. I was in stitches with the strangle/knochout scene.

This comes to an end soon though :csad:

Pretty good. Left me wanting more, which is a good sign. My guess about Jackman was right. But I didn't guess the ending ahead of time until just before it happened. And it explained why that one actress always played it way over the top.

it does sort of leave a lot of lose ends, but it wouldnt be the same if nesbitt doesnt return

On the BBC website, it says at the bottom "This Drama is now finished"
does that mean the show was cancelled???

bleh...well...guess I better not get too into it then. sigh..... :/
