I understand. I just don't like the idea of the main influence with Lex is the creator of ****ing Facebook.

Eisenberg is the ****ing king and savior of Metropolis. They picked the one guy for Lex who is skinnier than Gal Gadot.

Mark Zuckerberg lied and backstabbed his way to a personal wealth the size of a small nations economy.

In the real world.

Extrapolate that to fictional standards and you can easily see where the comparison comes from.

What's the general consensus on this casting? When I first heard the news my first thought was ehhhhhh.

SO. MUCH. NERD RAGE. This about sums it up:
Marc Bernardin ‏@marcbernardin 4h I wish I could harness Nerdrage and use it to power my car, which would rev really high and peter out before I got to the end of the block.

:o

As for me, I was shocked, but, like always, remain optimistic and am very excited for it. :D

At least this means Lex is in the movie. I was starting to worry he wasn't with no announcement.

You know whose ego is probably SUPER inflated right now?

Mark Zuckerberg's.

He's sitting somewhere saying "Man, they got the guy who played me to play Lex Luthor, Superman's arch enemy. Haha I'm the greatest."

Oh yeah there's totally a lot of nerd rage in this thread coming from the 15 people who aren't pleased with it.

I must not be seeing all the other nerd rage mixed in with the dozens upon dozens upon dozens of posts praising this casting choice as a great decision.

I'm a nerd, I get nerd ragey all the time but I try to not get nerd ragey over casting before I see how the performance turns out.

Haha. Well, besides the casting and the delay, I haven't really been following the movie. What route are are they even trying to go with this? You have the Batman vs Supes aspect but then again, they probably will end up working together. You throw in Wonder Woman and now Lex, who might be the main villain of the film. It seems like this movie might have to be at least 2 hours and 45 min.

You'd be surprised. Several comments on various videos on Youtube and of course, IGN, have damn near become cesspools. I wasn't even talking about SHH.

That and there's nothing any nerd (besides Snyder) can do about it. It's best to just try to accept it.

People will eventually calm down until the next casting choice. Then they'll go crazy again.

Wow, it only took me about 2 hours after the initial shock of this announcement to do a complete 180 and totally get behind this.

That's a new record for me.

That's what I think, it won't be til the films end that he'll end up bald

I didn't say it was great because I haven't decided that yet. I did say it could be awesome though. I'm postive about it because the actor is good.

Some think it's good, some great, some okay and some hate it. It's not just some overwhelming love fest.
