BvS Jesse Eisenberg IS Lex Luthor - Part 8

Did I miss some info? That's Wayne's domicile for sure? I thought they said the mansion was in disrepair and that word was that Bruce was living in a lake house on the estate property with access to the cave? Lex also looks pretty comfortable in that pic. I'm more inclined to think that place is Luthor's. Unless again there was some concrete info about it being Bruce's home?

Nothings concrete right now but just the look of the place is much more Wayne than Luthor. Perhaps this is like the only room Bruce uses? Like in TDKreturns where he just had that small tv and chair with his grog in that huge empty room?

^ I too think it's Luthor's office or study, based off of his body language.

Because Lex Luthor tends to look meek and uncomfortable when outside his own home?

The key indication that it may be Wayne Manor, for me, is the fact that the furniture has dust coverings.

I thought the same possibility too, that like RDJ's Stark Jesse as Lex would come into anybody's place and just make himself at home, but... It looks more like it's really his place with the body language.

Oh the crazy detective work these images bring out of us all, myself included.

Luthor (I feel) probably makes every room he's in his room.

It's more the fact that he's leaning against the desk, probably conversing with someone. It would be unusual for the owner of the place to move away from the desk. Luthor's body language as well as his placement give off the impression that it's his own place.

So you dont think Stolls' look could have made a good Lex? I know this is a more typical Lex-type look, but he gives a stronger visual presence to me than Eisenlex from what weve seen so far, be it just from just one bad image. I was just hoping they'd sell the skeptics and even the GA on the choice of Eisenberg for Lex. The wig image just falls very flat to me. The black and white bald image did a lot more for me honestly.

I'm not familiar with the actor's work, so it's nothing against him. Strictly visually speaking, if those pics represent the Lex that might've been, to me they present a boring, cliche villain. Yes, he is intimidating, menacing even, and he literally looks visually stronger than Eisenberg; I'm not arguing with you there. On the contrary, that's what I take issue with. I like the idea of a Lex who is physically weak, who appears to be harmless. It provides a nice dichotomy that the biggest threat to the most powerful beings on the planet and to the planet itself, appears to be a meek, almost boyish, man.

I suspect the popularity, and design, of the animated Lex Luthor Clancy Brown voiced has largely twisted fandom's perception of what the character is.

To me the reason why characters like Luthor and The Joker are more enduring than say Doomsday or Bane (to a certain extent) is that whilst their physically outmatched by their main foes they compensate by having the kind of intelligence that people who seriously consider pulling the crimes they do should have in order to get away with them.

I've said this before but the casting of Jesse seems right in a way as Luthor isn't a man one should admire whatsoever and an actor who previously got across to audiences what a wealthy and intelligent but soulless man really is in THE SOCIAL NETWORK is a perfect choice.

This guy gets it.

so, i'm confused.
i must have missed something.

lex luthor actually has hair in this flick?

as for the picture itself, is this really from the movie? why and how and what evidence?
personally, i just see Jesse Eisenberg, not lex luthor. The hair and outfit does not fit with Lex Luthor.
so why would the 'room' actually be from the movie?

i might have missed something completely, but well, news about this movie tends to smash a couple of hundred replies every second so.....

It's either a still from the movie or a production still (all the other stills included in the article are movie stills). Regarding the hair, some believe it's meant to be a wig, others that he'll lose or shave his hair in the course of the movie. Either way, we know he will be bald at some point.

Luthor was inspired by Cobain while growing up, which is why he likes the long hair and layered sweater look. It's an integral plot point.

Eisenberg's Luthor looks a bit like young Luthor from Birthright, imo.

It is a little strange to have a veteran Batman alongside a youngster Lex Luthor, with Superman somewhere in the middle.

I thought this Lex is about the same age as this world's Superman.
Fitting match to the times Lex was in a cloned body pretending to be his lost son.

short version of this thread:

this lex is not imposing enough
this lex is too imposing
this lex is bald
this lex has hair
etc.

Jesse is actually only a few years younger than Henry.

A few months, in fact. I had assumed their was a much bigger difference.
