Well, if Netflix decides to keep things in house, how about Rachel Brosnahan? She's appeared on House of Cards and Orange is the New Black. Very solid actress and smokin' hot in a realistic sort of way.
It might, but you never know with that show. I thought Kristin Connolly's character would continue to grow in the second season, but halfway through she was completely written out of the show.
Tough to say. More than the other shows, this will require a lot of adaptation, since the Avengers only debuted a year or so prior, and the modern super age only a few before that. Its literally impossible for Jessica to be a "child of the super age".
So, the emphasis will probably be more on "super private eye with a traumatic past" than the meta references from the comic. Maybe she was once involved with SHIELD.
Here's a question: will they use the Purple Man as a villain? Her backstory is tightly tied to the guy, and he's pretty much her archvillain. Its also not even close to family friendly, with the guy basically being a walking abomination.
I don't see why they would pick Jessica Jones as one of the shows if they didn't intend to adapt her story lines from the comics. None of these characters are really family friendly, which is probably one of the reasons why they're going to be on Netflix rather than ABC.
Hopefully a compelling actress. It doesn't have to be a super-known person. Certainly, the budget will be downscale compared to the films, so I doubt they'll get any movie-based A-list actress, unless she just had a baby and lives in the NYC area and wants a steady gig without a bunch of travel responsibility, and figures a shortened-season 'cable' TV show fits the bill.
This is the character I know the least about, but I do know some of the basics. Either way I'm still excited because I know it is going to be quality edgy stuff we are going to get and I can't wait for that
