Jetsons | Warner Bros.

Glad they're keeping this animated. Admittedly, there is some curiosity in seeing The Jetsons in live action, but there's just no telling how that would play out. Animation just makes more sense.

I kinda still wish they stuck with the live-action plan (with Kanye West! :funny:)... just to match The Flintstones.

Warner Bros./Warner Animation Group is planning on starting production in 2020

Hope they keep the 1960s retro space designs!

Would've been nice to see Danny Devito as Spacely. :(

Where'd you find this?

Daniel RPK posted this in his twitter.

He is the new scooper in town and he's quickly establishing himself as a pro at this game. He has previously attended screenings of WB movies at the Burbank lot so he's tight with the guys over there. Probably explains how he got himself inside the WAG office.

Very curious to know what that DC project is. I imagine if it was Lego Batman 2, it would be considered a Lego project overall, so...?

If it were up to me, based on something that's probably not a priority for live action at this time (and what probably wouldn't be well served by live action), I'd say... Legion of Super-Heroes? Maybe Metal Men? I could see that doing well in animated form.

It's most likely Super Pets.

Collider broke the news about a Super Pets movie being in development at WB a few months ago but I assumed it was going to be from WBA as opposed to WAG.

Plastic Man, unless they feel they can do it justice via live action. Maybe their own Deadpool.

The appeal of the Jetsons to me is there are no villains. No story centering on ending a threat that you know the hero's will succeed in ending anyway hence a lot easier to make as a fun family friendly movie of what family will be like in the future.

If there's a time to make it, it's now. A live action or computer animated Jetson's movie centered around the holiday season I think would be awesome. There's so much science fiction that can be thrown in as well! If they can do it without a lot of lame jokes but a classical heartwarming film like what technology wouldn't allow in the 60's or 70's would be great.

Still, this animated feature I'll be looking forward to. I haven't watched an animated film straight through in quite a while so will be fun!

They'll create a villain like they did with the Flintstones movie more than likely. I know one plot was like technology revolting against humanity or something due to their overreliance on them a while back.

A robotic villain or rogue AI might be interesting, done before in movies but in The Jetsons, it is unexplored territories.
