JGL and Robert Zemeckis to Reach for the Clouds

James Berardinelli hasn't posted reviews yet, but on Twitter he's alluded to this and The Martian being two of the best movies of the year.
Now this is what I like to hear. :awesome:

LOVED Man on Wire, wasn't sure what this could add to the table, but I'm certainly interested!

Bumping this thread because another one was created

Never saw Man on Wire, but this film was very impressive, didn't know they only spent around 30 million on this. Sort of was an origin biographical story merged with heist merged with an experience film.

I'm curious though, what did Petit do to his friends after he accomplished the feat?

I saw this in IMAX a few weeks ago. It was pretty good, I'm surprised it flopped so bad at the box office. I was familiar with Man on Wire though I hadn't seen it, but they really did paint Petit in an overly positive light for this movie. After I saw it, I read that he slept with a random groupie after he walked between the towers instead of going back to his girlfriend. The guy was pretty much a *****e back then, but he seems to have regret about it now. Still, Joseph Gordon-Levitt did a great job.

It was pretty good. JGL was good, it was pretty accurate for the most part besides whitewashing Petit a bit (not surprising considering he was pretty involved in the production), and visuals were great.

You should watch the doc. It really..shows how much a jerk he became after the fact.
