Jigsaw sucks. The guy in phonebooth was better.

After watching Saw3 I've come to this conclusion-

Number of people who changed their ways thanks to Jigsaw=0
Number of people who changed their ways thanks to the mysterious man in "phonebooth"=1

Thus, the man from Phonebooth>Jigsaw.

what about the guy in the first saw who hacked his legs off?

:confused:

Of course he is. He is Jack Bauer afterall and Jack Bauer pwned Jigsaw in season 2, even with a bad heart ;)

Last I checked, somehow he ended up back in that room. You can see his dead body on the floor in Saw2.

so both the guys in the first film die in by the second?

I haven't watched the second but i know that jigsaw kills one dude at the end of hte first, i didn't realise he killed both of them.

My fault I thought you saw both. I didn't mean to spoil anything.
But, yeah, their were definately two bodies in that room, and one was missing a leg.

ah that's a shame:(

don't worry about spoiling old films, i'm not bothered :up:

Technically, he didn't own him... because Jack had to be saved from getting shot at by Kingsley. Granted, he did own him... in a way, since he called in for backup. I suppose Kingsley woulda been dead if there had been another bullet in his gun. Regardless, Jack Bauer is still god. :cmad: :thing: :heart: :yay: :meow: :huh:

Jigsaw in the orginal Saw = Bad Ass

Jigsaw in Saw 3 = A feeble grandpa

I agree. While the first Saw was good, the sequels are mediocre at best and lack the style of the first or the charisma of Phone Booth.

But the first Saw is quite good. And btw we don't know what happened to Dr. Gordon (the man who sawed off his foot at the end of Saw 1) trhere was no dead body missing a foot in Saw II. The other dead body was Seth, the guy Adam killed at the end of Saw I and the drug dealer who dies at the end of Saw II. The only thing left of Gordon in the room is a foot though.

The sequels are better than the first and any of them kick the **** out of Phone Booth, and I really liked Phone Booth.

As for not changing, the message of these films isn't meant for the characters, it's meant for the audience, the characters are merely tools that enable it; and Amanda did learn to appreciate her life, that wasn't her problem in SAW III. She simply had a problem keeping her emotions in check.

Yup, a feeble grandpa that still finds ways to always be in control of the situation in one form or another, even in his weakened state.

In Saw 2 (well, pre-beating), he was a badass. The way he laughed when Mathews called him "Jigsaw," that's just freakin' awesome.

Um, just to further clear things up, I wasn't comparing the movies to one another, just the main antagonist methods. And I found the mysterious guy from Phonebooths method worked better.
Him=1 redeemed subject
Jigsaw=1 possible, but unknown.

But they took away all of his mysteriousness in the sequels by showing his face within the first 10 minutes of Saw 2 while being interogatted. Plus he was extremely weakened. Now in Saw 1, when he slit the cop's throat, that was bad ass.

:huh: That still doesn't make him badass.

Too bad the guy in Phonebooth had Kiefer Sutherland's dumbass voice.

Seriously, if you're gonna cast a menacing voice, you can do much better. Kiefer's voice is just annoying.

The lead character is called "Stu", not "Stew".

Oh, Thanks for the spoiler! :cmad:
I've never seen the phone booth movie.

Of course, I'll never see the Phone Booth movie, so...
