Do you guys think Jimmy will end up in BvS? I mean we have full on reporter Clark Kent but no announcement of Olsen yet.

Isn't some guy older than Cavill playing him, and he has greenscreen socks because he has aputated legs from the carnage of MOS? (all of which sounds horrible BTW). If none of that is true I'll be glad, but there definitely is a character like that in the film.

I don't mind the amputated Jimmy idea, actually. That someone could be directly impacted by the battle of Metropolis but doesn't hold any grudges against Superman, unlike others. He actually becomes a supporter and friend.

I agree, AnneFan. As long he doesn't end up Metallo, I don't care if they go the amputee with Jimmy. And i kind of like the idea that a guy older than Supes might have Jimmy's boyish enthusiasm for his hero. It's a cool twist

Perhaps S.T.A.R. Labs will fix him as well. Then Supes will be like:

If Jimmy is made into Metallo, I... I just.. no

I HIGHLY doubt that they would make Jimmy become Metallo....come on people, let's not get too carried away

I agree. It's ridiculous. Shouldn't have even mentioned it, but it's the only Jimmy rumor I thinkwould suck if put into action.

Agreed. However the legs could be an early preview at what technology is capable of in the DC Universe.

Just because Olsen may or may not be in this movie, there's no reason to assume he won't ever be in any movies going forward. That's as silly as thinking Gordons' dead, just because he hasn't been cast in BvS.
You people panic way too easy.

I think Jimmy is an inherently good idea in the character dynamics department. He would add to the Daily Planet interactions; he could be a gateway character to the audience, a new perspective from which to admire Superman; he could be a pal to Clark, someone he can be a cool older brother to. Stuff like that adds to the movies, the way Coulson added to the Avengers, or Lucius added to Batman. They let the main characters show interesting new sides to themselves. He doesn't have to be a bowtie-wearing dork, more like a scruffy cool kid like in Earth One (hopefully with his legs still intact and no reason to hate life just yet). Fun side characters, diverse interactions... they're a good thing.

What actor should play Jimmy? I have a few ideas... :)

Also agree with that...a look at what kind of tech could be used with Cyborg

Plus, Jimmy could be a great way for Clark/Superman to have a friend to talk to about things that he cannot tell Lois.

but Men stuff... ya know... ladies don't need to know that stuff :O

Soooo......

though personally, i hate the existance of 'supergirl' as a series (CBS),
well, let's put that differently, the way it's presented in the TV serie pilot,
there is one tiny little thing here.....

'jimmy' olsen - james olson rather, is played by Mehcad Brooks [thus making him a black Jimmy olsen, like Laurence Fishburn is a black Perry White].

Now, this SG series offcourse is not neccesarily part of the Snyder universe, but, it's atleast interesting that the way they present and show the destruction and spacecraft of Krypton looking so much like the Snyder-universe, it's not entirely impossible that Mehcad Brooks could [later] be added as a James Olson to the Snyderverse [ even though there might be a small issue regarding he moved from the daily planet to the SG-office].

All in all, it would be cool if there was a black James Olson in the Snyderverse, too. I like having more cultural diversity in these movies (let's face it, i won't call it aryan, but man, what white cast has batman and superman been in the movie-past).

That's the ship used in the Supergirl TV Show for Kal-El:

And it's clearly not the same as the Snyder-verse (not to mention the entire scene is completely different...).
