I welcome you all aboard the Daran Norris train.
umm i never was not bashing norris, when i posted that post i was saying age range i bet we will see jjj/robbie be for the film.
Norris is love.
Commissioner Gordon in Justice League, I love it.
cool for him, but i am still a bit surprised there i said in the news thread i recall reading gordon was to be dead and/or we where seeing a female commissioner in bvs so i didnt expect to see gordon at all. But dam wb scooping him up.
Time to lock this thread
Thank god he's not JJJ again.
He'll be a great Gordon.
How does him being cast as Gordon stop him from being Jameson again?
The "you can't work with marvel now" clause in his contract
most likely as jl starts filming in april and we dont know how much of a role he has. Plus usually when actors are under contract with one studio for these hero type films they usually have a clause in the contract that they cant appear in another company project and what not.
As for this thread being locked now with the gordon news. That is really up to any of the mods who control the spidey boards if they want to close the thread or not.
Is that actually real or are you kidding?
To be fair, it's not just his contract, and both Marvel and DC have had it in their contracts since superhero movies started getting big in the early 2000s.
it is a real thing at times for certain actors or roles.
Which is speculation that it exists (I've seen no one actually show a source) and of dubious validity if it does. Covenants not to compete are viewed with some skepticism and there actually have to be strong justifications to be valid. Wikipedia says California covenants not to compete are automatically void with a few narrow exceptions. I don't know if WB's contracts are governed by California law but, if they are, that's a pretty big problem right there.
Whether or not it's official, it would be a huge break from precedence.
Ya we seen actors even mention stuff like this before.
Closest thing would probably be the Jamie Alexander Wonder Woman situation. I know variety mentioned that one of the reasons Jamie Alexander couldn't be Wonder Woman was because of Marvel obligations.
“Thor” thesp Jaimie Alexander would be up for the part but Alexander’s obligation to future Marvel pics takes her out of the running since it’s a DC comics property.
She even later said
I was one of a few people that were an obvious choice for Wonder Woman, but it was never going to happen. I’m contracted with Marvel and it would (be) strange. Sif, in her way, is Marvel’s Wonder Woman. They’re both ethereal and have armor and a sword, and have special abilities; the physicality of the role is very similar.
Well there's always...
Eliminate the hair cut and it's a go.
She said it would be strange. She didn't say she wasn't contractually allowed to do it. Like I said before, I don't know which state's law governs these contracts, just that, if it was California law, there absolutely would not be a provision prohibiting her from doing both.
I'm fine with that as long as it doesn't look weird. I do think red hair is important for Mary Jane, though.
My personal preference is to not have Mary Jane at all in High School. This isn't the 1610 universe. There are other people who generally get ignored who I think are worth considering.
Why thr hell does that fit so well?
Because he's Straight Outta Compton, he comes from the underground.
Really the ice cube thing needs to be dropped it was just a bs Facebook rumor that as we likely know at the moment isn't going to hapoen. Like I said before even with boys kit from thr saying they want or are looking to diversified the supporting cast. We don't know which characters may change or ultimately they do end up picking a ethnic guy.
Still I feel for changes we likely will see it more in villains, to a liz/sally type characters. Then jumping right to oh mj/gwen/jjj is going to be changed in race or gender.
