So guys what did you think? strangely enough I actually enjoyed it and will like to see where they take this.

It was alright, nothing very new or that different as of yet. And I did think it was Johns playing favourites with Green Lantern again. Liked the reveal of Superman. I am not fully engaged yet but will keep reading. Hopefully the reason they all join together is convincing and has some depth.

Rumour has it that it has to do with Darkseid.

When it ended, I was like, "That's it?" But it definitely has my interest.

This should be moved to the dc comics section instead of superman, i liked it and am interested to see if Darkseid is the main villain, i think that he works better as a justice league villain instead of only a superman one

I'm trying to download it, but can't find the app anywhere. Apparently downloading comics books is all the rage now :/

I read them on my iPhone with ComicZeal. It's pretty sweet - you can upload your own cbr/cbz files.

I just read it on my ipod touch. It's sweet.

The issue didn't do anything new in particular, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I liked Batman and GL's banter. Also, Superman V Batman :D

It was ok. I like the new suit for Superman, well, most of it. The collar and cuffs look bad. I like the concept they used at the end of the comic for Superman.

The story was boring, and GL seems like a huge tool. Wasn't feeling it. Will see how I feel after the next issue.

Does the new Action Comics #1 start off with Krypton and Jor-El or it isn't in chronological order like that and we just pick up with a young Clark Kent?

It's like this, most titles of the reboot take place in the present where superman is active for 5 years, Action Comics takes place in the past, from what i heared the first storyline will take place during this time but the later issues will go to the present and future

yeah, there's no Krypton and Jor-El in Action Comics #1. It starts with Clark as his early incarnation of Superman in Metropolis.

It's interesting that none of the books I've read so far (JL, Detective, GA, Action) include any sort of origin. They begin assuming you know all that already.

That's what I don't like about this ''reboot''. Apparently this is for a new generation of readers, but it doesn't really help them jump on in at all.

What most fans say is that everybody know the origin and only want to see the action, but that's not entirelly true, as a kid i never got much into comics, not even issues 1 because they don't tell you the origin and they assume that you know everything that already happened

I buy it with characters like Superman and Batman, because they are so engrained in pop culture that people just "know" their origins. But with characters like Green Arrow, a little backstory would be nice.

I guess in today's world though, if you want to know a hero's origin -- google it. That's what I do.
