Bora Bora - this could be inspiration for Themyscira - a beautiful island in middle of no where, undiscovered. Perhaps in the middle of a lake, surrounded by extreme mountains - such as crater lake

I also think, it be an interesting take, that, where the mass of 'white' is large enough, it almost acts as a window, into the speed force. As if souls could be seen or skylines of another world - it could be down played by media, but in reality, it is a lot more than just lightning.
Atlantis, This could be the weathered 'shell' of buildings that once inside, state of the art - where people live, undiscovered.
I'd love to see more ideas
