Joe Casey, along with artist Nick Dragotta, will once again by exploring Marvel's criminal underside with Vengeance.

Whenever Casey announces a new project it becomes one of my most anticipated books. Especially, if he is working on lesser/new characters. Last time he had a super villain book was Zodiac and that was deranged and a blast. Can't wait to see what Vengeance brings.

Interesting that he's bringing back Stacy X of all people. Her death did seem kinda easy to get out of. It looks like Egghead from the Young Masters that came out of Dark Reign is coming back as well.

Casey is also bringing back what was to be his new Nighthawk from THE LAST DEFENDERS.

That little kid looks a lot like the In-Betweener.

Stacy X was killed in the last NEW WARRIORS comic of all things, and it is interesting that Casey is bringing her back; of course, didn't he create her when he wrote the X-Men? Writers tend to like having their own toys back. Her death wasn't too glorious; the NW's were fighting some SHIELD cape-killers, and a backpack explosion seemingly killed her (under the name Ripcord at the time) and Skybolt (Redneck). She seemingly lost her mutant powers with M-Day, but kept her snake-like skin. As such, the guy in white reminds me of Mr. Clean for some reason, but it likely isn't him.

It is interesting seeing someone using Cornell's Young Masters. Egghead was one of the ones who was hopelessly evil, given that he was endlessly reprogrammed by Big Zero, a Neo-Nazi.

Yeah, Stacy and Egghead have me interested. I'm a little confused about Stacy's role though. She was never a villain, just a bit of a jerk. She even got over that leading into New Warriors where she was pretty cool. I do hope that since Casey is bringing her back he brings back Skybolt too. He was my favorite member on that team, and since they died together maybe he can come back. He was far more a villainous character than Stacy since he was originally part of Quentin's X-Men in Riot at Xavier's.

Well, not a concept I'd be all too interested in usually, but Casey makes me interested.

This looks awesome. Like a Marvel "Secret Six". Wondering about JustIn Biebtweener, though.

He could be the Ultimate Nullifier, one of two new characters Casey is introducing, along with the newest Miss America.

Casey stated that both heroes and villains would appear, so there's no telling what Stacy X or the Joaquin Pennyworth version of Nighthawk may do.

Sounds a bit weird, and it'll likely debut below the Top 60 and issue #6 will sell somewhere about even with INVINCIBLE or DARKWING DUCK. Which is a shame because both are solid talents. Dragotta's done some great work lately.

Both Stacy X and Pennyworth could use their prior stories as motivation. Stacy X had a niche as a mutant hooker, joined the X-Men, was under-appreciated and quit, lost her powers but still was a hooker, tried being a hero again with the New Warriors and got blown up. She'd have plenty of reason to feel bitter. As for Pennyworth, he got involved in a "caped" adventure he didn't want, wound up in the hospital and all but booted as a SHIELD agent, then tagged to be the next Nighthawk. Then Osborn disbanded his team as it assembled, and with the SHRA done, Kyle Richmond can go back to being Nighthawk (he'd been banned due to botching a Defenders mission for Stark). He'd likely be bitter, too. Or maybe a desperate solo hero out for revenge against...someone.

OH! I would be stunned if Casey's new version of Zodiak didn't show up.
