Happy Easter, Guest!
When they show the monitors in the clip, you can see that in the frame that will be what ends up on the screen, the top of the heads are cut off. Both when the Thing smashes through the wall, and in the close-up of Reed with Ben and the kids in the background.

It might me the Assisant director or 2nd in command yelling that.I have a question. Who is calling action ? Does not sound like Tim's voice. Does the director just set a scene up, then sits behind a monitor and watches how it plays out ?And is the director the ultimate authority on the set, or can someone higher up overule him ?

I have to say that when I finally saw that footage, I was genuinely shocked beyond words as to why it was removed. It added so much depth to the film, and different perspectives on things. It really did seem like they cut out anything that could have vastly improved the movie. I am hoping and praying that is not the case this time.
Do you know where i can watch that footage?
Thanks
EDIT:Also the clip of Johnny playing darts with Ben isnt working. any idea why?
It was here on rapidshare for awhile, but is no longer available there.....
I really hope they come out with a "directors cut" of FF1. After reading the interview with the guy who scored it, saying the score was totally butchered when they edited it.... I really want to see the "un-butchered" version. With all kinds of extras, like "making-of" stuff.
The "Darts" clip looks awesome. But sadly, it has "DVD Deleted Scenes" written all over it. Why? Because it adds to character development--and looking at the last few hero films from FOX they don't appear to be big on characterization. Just explosions and sex appeal.
