gregchick, i think you got a jacket that actually better than mine!
I think yours is better in that its already made to go, I need to add buttons to mine and trim it, it goes all the wayd own to my ankle whereas yours is perfect length. but yours also buttons up a bit too high so you may want to fix that...
Alright well ive been to goodwill and salvation army on the lookout for a cheap purple suit...no luck...so i called all the tuxedo places and no luck...should i just ditch the purple suit and go for a green vest?...(i really want the suit)...also...anyone know where i can get the blue shirt with the square-ish designs like the leaked TDK pic
dude, ebay. that's where i found the jacket and vest pictured above. as for the shirt, im still looking myself so if you find something lemme know.
Try searching for snakeskin print shirts. It's as close as you're gonna get, and it's right up Joker's alley.
one rental place over here has a purple suit...and its exactly my size...40 bucks to rent...so im in luck...now to find the wool green vest and the blue snakeskin-ish shirt
My Joker costume arrived today. It's absolutely fantastic. It's very similar to the BTAS Joker suit.
am i the only one that doesnt have nothing yet of the joker*gulp*
just got an idea...imma go the cheap way and get a willy wonka costume and steal the suit (it will be 20 bucks cheaper)
edit: i cant find the classic willy wonka costume and the new one is stupid lookin
I ended up finding a good pair of gloves, not leather, suede instead, but a pretty damn good match. Even though they are women's, you can get them in a large.
15 Pounds/30 bucks
Kenneth Cole has a great tie, http://www.elegantties.com/kennethcole.html, but for $35
I think I'm going with a cheaper ($15), "close enough" tie from Kohl's
And Perry Ellis has a honeycomb pattern shirt ($40), but the pattern is pretty small: http://www.perryellis.com/ped/catalog/product.jsp?pid=PED:46FW2015
I can't find a collared vest in the right green, this is the closest I've got:
Hope this helps a few of you out
^^^I've been looking for stuff, and almost all the purple stuff is women's clothing. Just going to have to make due.
ur a saint steyin...i was lookin for those gloves
Guys you're gonna have to go w/womens clothing if you want to get the purple jacket and gloves, they simply dont make that stuff for men. i like the sued gloves, ill look into that. I still need a tie and socks though, that tie is way too expensive and i think i just may go buy some random crazy pattern @ walmart....
im freakin clueless about women to men sizes...so im screwed
don't worry caleb, i don't have anything either. i want to be joker as well and i haven't even begun
http://www.plaincards.com/index.html for anyone interested, this could also be used for fanfilms, i found this site. you buy the cards, you register the program for 15 bucks and you can print your own playing cards. you can make all the joker cards you want. you can also make trading cards and tarot cards. pretty awesome. but i figured i'd post that in here, i thought it was cool.
is there anyway i can die this suit...or would it screw up?
You can actually buy a white (cotton I think) suit and dye it no problem.
could i dye it a dark purple?...or would it be bright
just got an idea...should i get a cop outfit and wear joker makeup...(like the pic on tdk set)
dude google Rit Dye, find their site, they're #1 in dye. I bet you can find it at a Benjamin Franklins or any local craft store, I did. I'm dying pants for my joker outfit. May do it next weekend, youc an stay tuned and I'll post pics...
ill stay tuned!
question when you dye a suit do you leve in side the bucket of hot water or stir while inside the bucket
cheap gloves for the poor ones like me
I'm actually wearing my Joker costume right now
It looks just like this one, except the dickie bow/tie is different:
