"Put A Smile On That Face."

Soon enough. :yay:

Gotta find some good makeup. Oh, and a wig!
What do people think about this as a wig possibility?

I know it's a girl's wig, but it's got very loose curls (which I think in the long run will be hard to find amongst heavily-curled wigs) and it's blonde, which will make it easier for the green to show up (even if I have to color the roots darker to look right).

Finally all pressed up. Still has some flaws that will be fixed on future coats.

That's not even curled, it's crimped. That shouldn't be what you're looking for. Also, the wig has bangs in it, which you don't want because they'll be extremely hard to comb back. Look for something without bangs in it, with tighter curls--you can always comb curls out and loosen them, but it's much harder to keep curls in a straightened wig. Not to mention that a women's wig will likely be too small for a man's head.

realllly amazing work spider! once the owner gets it a lil grungy and roughed up...it will be one of the best coats people have made

I know a purple trench coat is not the sort of thing you find in most shops, so does anyone know a good web site to buy a coat that I can dye purple?

I like it. The wig might just work. Give it a try.

I don't think it's crimped - especially looking at the third preview picture, the one showing it from the back. You're probably right about the bangs being troublesome, though.

As far as wig size, I used a women's wig as the base for my Jack Sparrow costume last year, and that fit me no probalo. I'm not too worried.

Besides, men's wigs are usually costume-style only, and I doubt I'd find a realistic-looking one in the style I want. Women's wigs are a lot more varied.

don't forget your smile ;)...i'll be posting another auction tomorrow with MUCH better pictures. Also keep in mind i recently discovered liquid latex is NOT necessary, so all you'd need with these is the make up :)

It's definitely crimped, those aren't curls at all. If it didn't have the bangs, it might be okay to use if you put a little more of a curl into it, since it might create a cool texture with the crimp already in it.

As for the sizing, the fact that it's a short wig would have me worried. Longer wigs are more forgiving as far as size goes.

Really Cool.

Did you just do this for the hell of it?
We're actually working with our local theater during July building up to the Dark Knight premiere.

If somebody could post or pm me a good place to get either a Joker trench coat already made (thats probably not possible and wishful thinking on my part) or a site to get a decent coat that I can dye the right color I would really appreciate it. I have everything except that damn coat but my costume doesnt look right without it.

That's actually the coat I ended up getting (after MensUSA royally screwed me several times over) and I have to say it's not bad. I need to shorten the length a little, do some altering of the back and cuffs, but then I think it should be fine. Remember it's a women's coat though, so know what you're sizing up!

Oh yes, I'm yet another lurker starting way back from Febuary. Thought it was about time I joined in the fun here. Currently finishing up my shirt pattern and waiting for a chance to do some makeup tests.

I'm a female, by the way, so this should be interesting. I've yet to see any others post pictures of a full male Joker costume. :waa:

I would post pictures today, but I have yet to have a chance to really dress up. Unfortunately my family would have a heart attack if they knew what I've been doing behind thier backs, haha, so I've been smuggling in the pieces one by one, and keeping it a secret. This weekend I should be free to practice, though. Premier's going to rock!

Question for Deathfromabove, what did you finally end up doing for scars? Just paint shading or did you use the col. liquid/3D gel mixup? Just wondering, because whatever it was came out great and you've been my idol for a while now, haha.

Someone brought this up on another topic, but, do you guys think all of the IMAXes on premier night will be cool about the costumes? I hadn't even thought about it. I'm sure ones in big cities would expect it, but what about smaller areas? My theater was cool about Jigsaw on Halloween, but I'm not sure about this. I'm traveling with friends on a bit of a road trip to see this thing, and want to be sure, heh.

Sixx, I love your choice of footwear!

ok I know these look like they suck :( BUT please look at the new one which will be posted tomorrow, much better pictures and I really changed each scar. They're easy to apply and look real, seamlessly blending to the skin :). If you can't afford them maybe a trade can be arranged? iono :P but a female joker rocks! hehe, even though I hope we NEVER see a male harlequinn o.o http://cgi.ebay.com/Joker-Costume-S...ryZ82161QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
