The Dark Knight JOKER:don't choose an actor purely because they look right...

I think John C. McGinley would be a pretty good choice for Joker. Hes a great actor, weird sense of humor, and a little crazy...seems about right for The Joker....

Mark Hammil is not an actor.

Ashton Kutcher is not even a human being.

Eccleston. I was going to slap on a dammit, but it's far too overused.

Wow! Does that mean he really is from a far away galaxy where he possesses superhuman abilities and a sword made out of light?!?! Cuz I always thought he was just acting.

Also, shouldn't he be in prison. I have several DVDs filled with audio recorded confessions of countless murders he's commited.

You're right about Ashton Kutcher though. Why the hell is he famous?

Eccleston's a good idea, but when i seen johnny Depp's name in the list in the other thread I was pleasently surprised. he is a great character actor, and I hope Tim Burton not directing wont stop him doing the role - if asked, that is.

I don't know I think he was a pretty damn good Luke Skywalker and his voice-acting is top-notch. He and Billy West are probably the best damn voice-actors in the business. And look at Rob Perlman's career sure it's not illustrious but he has had some hits outside of voicing videogames and cartoons. So technically you can't write off people just for that.

But yes Ashton Kutcher needs to be shot, along with alot of other celebrities nowadays.

hamill's voice over Glover's acting would be bliss for me.

Crispin Glover acting?!!!

Where?!?! Show me a movie.

And don't you dare say Willard.

I like this thread cuz, too often, people see a manip of an actor and they think, "wow, that guy is the Joker! He HAS to be The Joker!" When all the manip does is show you if the look is right, but not what the performance will be like. I remember some actress got tons of votes for playing Wonder Woman just because there was a pic of her in a sort of Amazon suit...

adrien brody then. whatever. all that matters is the hamill.

THE HAMILL!

peep game:

Looks are important. Face shape, nose size, stature etc aren't really. What's important is that the actor can pull off the facial expressions which are a CORE PART of the character. The evil smile, the laugh, the grimace. I haven't seen any indication that Hulme can do any of that. Eccleston, on the other hand ..... Bettany's somewhere in the middle.

Well, I am for Hulme, but I would be fine with Eccleston too

awsome! in episode 1 in season 3 of "that 70s show", reefer madness, ash has this great look and laughter for the joker! and he is a graet actor, too.

Kutcher may be a graet actor - but a great (or even good) actor he is not.

When an actor has to use Charlie's Angels as a film to give his career credibility - we got a problem.

Thank you for saying it for me DV8.

I grow tired of the slow ones around these days.
