I was looking up ytmnd.com for Joker stuff when i came across this. What crossover is this from? I don't remember a Batman/Captain America crossover book.

Can anyone provide a link to the comic so I can check this out?

I've got to say, that was a weird moment for The Joker. He's a bit of an iconoclast, and probably has no sense of anything resembling patriotism. I guess that's just him doing the unexpected for the sake of his veiw of humor.

Yes.

The patriotic American side of me loved this moment when I first read it, but it just doesn't make sense. Joker doesn't care about anyone, be them America or otherwise. He kills everyone, but mostly Americans.

Well the entire crossover is done in a neat classic feel(and Byrnes Batman in that is very Sprang inspired). And IMO some of Byrnes best art to date. I love that book.

Yeah, it's a great, fun read. You just can't take it very seriously, which it wasn't meant to be anyway.

"Out of character" is a term that doesn't exist for Joker. In fact, Joker being "out of character" is exactly what makes him in character. He's so randomly unpredicatble... i love it!
