So a friend of mine went down to the Bridge in LA last night to see Iron Man...and Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. were there! Before the movie, Jon walked in to introduce it and said there was a special guest there that night. And in walks in Robert. In a nutshell, they basically told everyone they had a great time making the movie and thanked everyone for coming out to see it. I don't know about you, but I think this shows some major class on their part. Most directors/actors would just sit back and watch the money roll in without a peep, but not these ones.

Did they do this at anyone else's theater?

Yah that's def shows class on them. Your lucky though man, you got to meet them.

Nice! It must be great to go to packed theatre and watch hundreds of people react to your work. I bet they were just fixated on the crowd. Feeling all the "OOOOOO's" and "AAAAAAA's" as well as the laughter must have had them walking on air with pride as they left.

Eh. That's the great thing about LA. Stars just pop up when they feel like it. In very rare occasion in Detroit will actors or local singers will stop by. Never usually anyone big-big. The last movie celebrity I remember stopping by our theater (where I work) was probably Sylvester Stallone. This was about a week before Rocky Balboa came out. I think he came for an early screening.

Aretha Franklin was there about a year ago. She had us make her a special batch of popcorn... :p

Well, considering my geographical location and the size of my city this kind of thing would be a miraculous event. Small Towns aren't known for hosting celebrity filled movie premieres.
