The Dark Knight Rises Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake

Yeah, I did.

Probably shouldn't have had the pointless discussion in the first place eh?

Eh?

I don't know what that is.

Was it supposed to be funny? I could hear laughter but...I'm not sure why.

i dont find it funny either.but that is pretty much exactly what youre like on here.not a troll exactly, more of an opinion goblin.youre right and noone else has anything of value to say.its quite wearisome.and im quite sure im not the only that finds your inability to debate properly irritating.

We need an X-Men First Class vibe:

"Before he was Ra's Al Ghul... he was Joseph Gordon-Levitt."

Man, i'm so torn up about First Class. I don't want it to be good, because that would just be torture. Fox would be like the abusive, alcoholic father who beats you 51 weeks in the year, then takes you to Disney Land on your birthday.

I loved the first two X-Films, but since X3 and Wolverine, I just want Marvel to get the rights back. Wolverine burnt me so bad... I couldn't handle it again.

Wolverine was just awful, but X-Men First Class is looking good and it should succeed, because it shows you can do something creatively new and not being afraid of it. Getting 60s X-Men is like Batman Beyond or so, it's the same essence but with a nice different timeline take. I dig that.

I just wish it wasn't a prequel, and more of a reboot, or it's own X-World. I don't want anything else to connect to all those movies. As far as i'm concerned they start with X1 and end with X2. If this is good, I want to enjoy it as it's own thing.

Well they are ignoring X3 and Wolverine, if that helps anyway. :p

Am I the only one who thinks JGL looks a little too much like Cillian Murphy (scarecrow/Crane)?

He looks more like he could pass as one of Heath's relatives to me.

He's definitely not going to play the Joker but regardless of that fan wish, I've always thought they look very similar in terms of facial characteristics.

Its so ironic JGL is in this, after Heath died people were promoting JGL to take over as the joker back then in early 08', and now hes gonna be in the next Batman movie. Funny.

Yeah it really is.

I even made one of the first manips back then when I loved the idea. I might still actually have it in my photobucket. :hehe:

Honestly, I think individuals affiliated with Nolan or WB are cruising these boards often. They're not regular posters, and they don't have posting accounts... but they're going through these threads and writing stuff down. They have to be. We're the ones who mentioned Joseph Gordon-Levitt AND Marion Cotillard having roles in the third movie, and now it's happening. We might have mentioned them for The Joker / The Riddler and Catwoman, but the very fact that we said this a loooong time ago, and now we see that it's happening, is either luck / a fluke on our part, laziness on their part, or someone was reading SHH.

Or we just know what the hell would work

Seriously though, I have no doubts they have people who check these boards. We've had ninjas on the past two films feed us info and pics, I'm sure this one will be no different once the ball starts rolling.

Or that Nolan worked with them in Inception and wanted to work with them again, which he does for many actors.

I dont think either were even involved with Nolan when those ideas started though. I know JGL wasnt attached to Inception when people started wanting him for #3, I believe thats also the case with Marion.

Actually, that's not true. I specifically remember people mentioning JGL and Marion BEFORE they were ever cast in Inception. JGL was really good friends with Ledger, since back when they did 10 Things I Hate About You. And after Ledger died, the immediate fan reaction was "They were friends, and JGL looks a lot like Ledger... how about JGL for Joker?"

Which is why it really freaked me out when they were both cast in Inception. Marion was a name being thrown around for Catwoman immediately after she won her Oscar.

So I don't know. It's very eerie. :word:

And the fact that Ledger was allegedly the first choice for Arthur in Inception, followed by James Franco, who then hosted the Oscars with Anne Hathaway... it's like a multiple of strangeness.

SIDE NOTE: The fact that Nolan met with James Franco, and the fact that Nolan also met Adrien Brody and Matt Damon for Joker in Two-Face, tells me that he'll eventually work these actors at some point. They obviously know each other.

Fox will never hand the rights back to Marvel, no matter how bad the X-Men movies tank. Besides, FC looks really good and I'm excited for it so I don't want to be disappointed.

I remember tons of manips of jgl when few of us stuck around, it seems that with work i can not get on forums, when finally the ball is rolling.

Is there not a contract on the rights to xmen and after said amount of time will the rights not revert back, just wondering?

Where did you hear that? I know Franco had to pull out of the film because of scheduling (and while I'm very fond of Franco, I'm sort of glad JGL got the role in the end) but I've never heard anything about Heath having ever been involved with the project. Although he and Nolan had had many discussion about working together before TDK, so it wouldn't surprise me if Inception had come up at some point.

True.
