This is a poll to see if Brolin can play Batman in MAS 2. Vote here and lets see.

FILMS:
Jonah Hex
Men in Black 3
W.
Wall Street: Money never sleeps
Goonies
No country for old men
Sin City: Dame to kill for
True Grit
American gangster

Many more..... Previous action films he has done and more.

No. He's somewhat old as it is, and there are several hollywood actors who look better than he does. Combine the fact that he's a drinker and wife-beater, and I don't want him to be awarded with an iconic role.

I'm down. Brolin can kick ass. He looks like the Alex Ross Batman. Yes to Brolin but he's not my top choice.

I'm a maybe on him. i think he'd be totally kick ass if it was a stand alone live adaptation of the dark knight returns, but with cavill, it doesn't make much sense to me.
We need a "F*** NO!!!!" option in this poll.
rows, you should add the gotham city pd show set between tdk's to your signature. also, darkwing duck should be batgoose's new codename.:word:

Why do people keep making these different threads????

LOL, that's a good idea.

And I agree with you. If this was a live action version of The Dark Knight Returns, I think I'd be okay with Brolin. I've always thought Ed Harris would have been the ideal TDKR Batman, but he's even too old for that now. So Brolin would work.

But as I just stated in another thread... this ISN'T that story, even if it is influencing them somewhat. Batman should be a young man. He can be established... but that doesn't mean he has to be old.

Yes.

That doesn't mean I think he's the only one who should. But he's still the best option I've heard so far, for what they're going for.

Too old. They're going for late 30s/early 40s. He looks like late 40s/early 50s.

The wife beater? No thanks.
Didn't Christian Bale assault his own mother and sister? :whatever:

I think Josh Brolin is a good choice. But I think Batman should be around the same age as Superman. It would feel very out of sync to see a rookie Superman going against a veteran Batman.

Maybe, but I'm not enthusiastic about Brolin as Batman.

I would like a pushy experienced idealist to thwart our young superman.
Count me in. He's better than some of these other choices(dear god).

And Snyder as a way of getting the right performance out of people.

I would be okay with Brolin as Batman. The man's a good actor, and if they're going for a gritty and older veteran of sorts, he would nail that aspect of the character.

As far as the "wife beating" rumors go, I'm not privy to all the details surrounding that; so I'm not going to judge him based on what little I know about the situation.

It wasn't long ago when everyone was jumping all over Christian Bale for similar reasons, but, in the eyes of most fans the world over, he is still considered one of the best actors to ever don the cape and cowl. Sometimes people do some really questionable things, but it's hypocritical to define someone's entire life based on a moment of weakness in character.

Good point.
Besides it's not like he's up for Superman or something:woot:

I enjoy him as an actor, the only detractor is I think he's a bit too old. Obviously WB is hoping this Batman/Supes thing works out, and if it does they're going to keep moving towards the JLA. I'd like an actor that's more Late 30's/early 40's so he'd have a bit more believable longevity.
