Sequels Joss Whedon wants X4

If the Whedon wants it, then it must be done.

So he didn't direct X3 beacuse of dates problems.... nice to know it.

If he is open to direct it, please! give it to him, Fox!

I love Whedon. But I don't want sequels to TLS... Still, he might make it work.

Psst, almighty Hollywood Gods, let Joss make Serenity 2.

Please no. I don't want to watch Kitty Pryde single-handedly saving the day in every scene and for every character to have the same "witty" sense of humor.

i fully agree- I think there would be no chance for rogue if he is attached:cmad:

I know Rogue and Gambit aren't in Astonishing, but if Whedon direct X4, he has to work with them and surely, will have good roles.

No. Whedon for the restart.

That would be awesome if he was able to do it. He's done comics before and I'm sure he wouldn't make the characters ultra-witty, but if he did it, it would have a couple of his characteristics in it. Namely a good storyline that doesn't cheap out on the characters and character-driven action.

I hope they do a restart with Joss Whedon directing it.

I don't want Joss Whedon anywhere close to anything X-Men related.

/wishes Joss would just go away.

Hmmm... Well I didn't like Serenity at all, I didn't like Buffy and Astonishing X-Men totally omits Storm!

So, although Astonishing isn't a bad continuity and indeed it's Gifted cure story was adapted for X3, I'm unsure of Joss Whedon. It's possible he'd do well, but he did write the Storm line in X1 that everyone hates with a passion!

I think I'd be okay with the X2 creative team. Singer and his crew are better suited to X-Men than they were to Superman, as X-Men is a more moody, emo concept and the number of characters to service means Singer has to keep things moving and switching around (rather than the much more laboured and duller SR, where fewer characters created a plodding pace)

How about a complete remake????

I cant take anymore of the same

I don't understand why people think that a Josh X-Film would be a direct representation of Astonishing X-Men?

:o I agree 100% with those statments!! We already had 3 movies where Storm was underdeveloped and lacked depth, we don't need a 4th!! But I still think Joss is a amazing writer, and am a Buffy fan:woot: !! But we need a director whose welling to develop all the characters after a movie like X3!!

He would be the absolute perfect choice. Serenity proves he can direct and his knowledge and love of the characters are second to none.

Astonishing X-Men is the best X-Men series in a very long time. What does Storm's availability in Astonishing have to do with anything? He wasn't allowed to use the character.

Given that the Wolverine solo film will hit in 2009, we won't see an X4 until at least 2011. If Joss lines up with that time frame, you have to allow him to direct.

Given X4 is over four years away at the earliest, fans need to give it a rest and especially stop whining about X3. Last Stand is a quality film that delivered action and was a fitting finale to a great trilogy. It was immensely popular and successful despite not appealing to some of the sniveling anal retentive fanboy crowd.

Yeah, I don't get that either.

X3 sucks so much that they need to restart the X-franchise.

No, he loves and knows *the 70's* X-men. He's practically ignored all character development past the early 80's, even regressing colossus and Kitty so that he could write his little nostalgia trip.
