Synopsis.

Dom Hemingway (Jude Law) is a larger-than-life safecracker with a loose fuse, funny, profane, and dangerous. Back on the streets of London after twelve years in prison, it’s time to collect what he’s owed for keeping his mouth shut.

Travelling with his devoted best friend Dickie (Richard E. Grant), Dom visits his crime boss Mr Fontaine (Demián Bichir) in the south of France to claim his reward. But Dom’s drink and drug-fuelled ego decides that what he’s lost can’t be replaced.

One car accident and a femme fatale later, Dom realises that his priority must be to reconnect with his long-lost daughter Evelyn (Emilia Clarke). But Dom does what Dom does best. He screws things up for everyone…

This screened at TIFF and has been getting some good reviews (A- from Collider and B+ from The Playlist). I'm certainly looking forward to it.

Well, I've started to like Jude more and more after Sleuth and especially Sherlock. I like that he's channeling his inner Sexy Beast Kingsley here.

Richard E.Grant doing his Withnail, Mother Of Dragons, Attack The Block's Hi-Hatz and Misfits/Utopia's Nathan Stewart-Jarrett all in a movie by the makers of Sexy Beast. I'm so watching this!

I preferred it over 44 Inch Chest.

I saw the premiere in Toronto. It's pretty good. The first half is better than the last half but it's pretty satisfying all around, though some may be think the ending isn't. But it's funny all throughout and doesn't get boring. There's some really unique and surprising stuff. Hilarious at times.

But Law is great. You haven't seen him like this before. My favorite part of the film was Richard E. Grant. His facial reactions in this film are ****ing priceless.

And Clarke, who was staying in our hotel and my friend had an awkward encounter with, doesn't have a huge part but it's nice to see her outside Game of Thrones.

That scene with the monkey posters was hilarious. That whole sequence was great.
