I could see this because Jude Law is a good actor. My only thing that I would like to see is the incorporation of Braniac as the catalyst to bring zod back. This would most definatly be a drag down fight to see on the screen! I know a lot of people are against Zod but with Jude Law doing it, it would be cool. Just add something else to it is all I ask that is where Braniac comes into play!

No more ZOD! I liked SR, but please do something original this time, Singer!

i completely agree. Brainiac for the second sequel, and THEN Zod for the third sequel.

I agree.BRAINIAC!!!,Heck I'd take Doomsday over Zod.

I've got a better idea. How about, NO Zod?

I would like to see Zod at the very end, to be honest... I agree with Justin from Bluetights. You can't do someone like Doomsday or Darkseid because it's just too difficult.

Hey, how about something original, Singer!

He's wrecking the Superman franchise.

The budget would be crazy! The thing about Zod being a Supervillian is that no special effects need to used to create the villian. Use on the effects themselves. Darkseid would bring a completly different element to the big screen like no other comic book villian before. A sci fi element but it would be a huge budget. Doomsday way too one dimensional. I would rather have Zod over Doomsday.

WOW! From what I understand is that Singer did want Law to be Zod in some scenes in Returns, but couldn't make it happen. I don't mind Zod being played by Law....thats good casting. Especially with Spacey in there also.....HOWEVER.....I would hope, that for Singer sake...him and the writers bring in Braniac as well who would have something to do with bringing Zod back from the Phantom Zone...I would assume.

they need to keep the budget for the sequel around 150 million.

I agree Jude Law is great casting, If he did not do it then I would be more against Zod but if he does it would be cool just add Braniac to the Mix as the one to bring him back!

a 150 million budget is a lot of money, may ultimately end up around 180 million!

Cant wait to see his version of Nuclear Man in SR4 (sarcasm)

:o

i'm gonna wait till we have a bit more confirmation about this. if we will indeed get Zod then i gotta switch gears on how to approach this franchise. i should stop expecting a restart/ origin and expect nothin more than a remake of a 20 year old movie. perhaps then i could leave the theater happy instead of confused and underwhelmed.

You joke, but I'm worried he will do that.

It will be true. Singer needs to steal ideas.

I wonder if he'll had the diner scene in SR2. I can't wait for that scene.

If Singer does use Zod this confirms one thing

The Movie Studios give a rats ass about the Comic Book Fans
Especially with Marvel hiring Zak Penn to write an Avengers Movie

The Studios dont care about the Comic Book Fans thats for damn sure

dude...i really want Braniac in the sequel...I mean I almost yelled it out in the theatre. I'd still be excited to see this but I'd be lying if I wouldn't admit dissapointment in Bryan Singer for going this route.

I loved Superman Returns but I would have to see where Singer goes with Zod first. If he just completely copies Superman 2 then I will be turning to the dark side. Its one thing to use Zod (Im still pissed if he does) but use him differently

:o

I would really hate to have to turn to the darkside for this sequel :o

You might as well change to the darkside now, because if he uses Zod, it's just going to be a copy of Superman 2. He'll do it the Singer way (copying other people's movies).

Ponders...

Ponders some more...

ok...I'll declare right now that this "version of donner's universe" thing just sucks. sucks because all the evolution superman's undergone is being thrown in the trash. I'm a little confused by what singer's doing with superman as you can probably tell. I don't want a recycled version of donner's superman movies. I'll buy and own them on dvd, I want a new superman, new Lex, new everything. As much as i love donner's superman too, it's old skool...

I'm putting my foot down, Singer. I can't takes it No more.

Fun. Action. Drama. FRESH story. All rolled into one = $$$ (especially spidey)

If Sky Captain says "Kneel before zod" You've officially lost me forever.

Thank you for your time. I know you've got things to do, people to see... etc...

Absolutely. I'm afraid they hired the wrong guy here to bring back superman to compete in the spider-man generation. that's not what he's doing, it seems. It's a nostalgia trip back in time rather than forward to things we've never seen put to screen for superman before. How I would love to see lex done properly, or for once a badass superhero battle between superman and something from the comics that fights back using today's advanced tech. It's long overdue, and diging up fossils like zod again might confirm it'll be a loooooooooong time before anything outside donner's films besides a few comic covers and panels might make it to the screen. *sigh* singer, will do what he wants to do, but I hope he's wary of the consequences.

I loved SR, and I think Law would do Zod justice, however Zod in SR2 is just redundant.

Brainiac or nothing!

I wouldn't have minded Zod in Returns. Lex introducing him at NK would have been fantastic and could have worked. Doing in a sequel? I am more than skeptical.
