July 2007 Sales Charts & Market Share Report

Holy crap. I wouldn't have predicted that at all. Then again, I wouldn't have thought Wolverine would've landed in the #4 slot.

Also, it's funny that Spawn is supposed to be going through this revival, and it's still barely in the Top 100, in the #99 slot.

I would also like to point out that Irredeemable Ant-Man sold better than Cable/Deadpool this month, yet C/D remains on the publishing schedule.

Thor is at #1?

Holy ****.

I guess keeping Thor out of mainstream Marvel for so long really paid off. Wow.

Wow, has Thor ever been #1 on these charts, ever?

Proving once again that people have taste buds in their ass. All the best Marvel titles aren't in the top 25, minus WWH. Sigh.

Go Thor, I'm impressed.

The Order at #39? That's pretty solid, it'll dip (considering it's the first issue), but it should be sticking around. Yay.

And the DC title people ***** the most about continues to be DC's best selling title. I lawl.

I would doubt it. JMS still moves quite a bit of comic books, it seems.

Yeah, it's tricky to say how much JMS had to do with sales this time around. I know for a fact he did a good job selling the book to me in interviews.

Also, Omega Flight is pulling in make me an ongoing numbers.

How was the rest of Omega Flight? I found the first issue very "meh" and I didn't bother with the rest.

Why is there a question mark there? Are you unsure of your statement?

I can't believe All-Star Batman and Robin was a #9...AND, ten spots higher than the much better All-Star Superman.

Plus, Countdown is really dropping in popularity each week. When Jimmy Olsen is one of your main selling points, it's a bad sign.

Wolverine at #4. *Bangs head against the wall*

Fallen Son held up extraordinarily well, considering not all that much happened (although I really liked the Iron Man issue with Cap's funeral; that one was worthwhile). Captain America is doing well too (although you'd think there'd be more interest in the actual story, given that so many people buy five issues of standing around mourning).

DC recovers somewhat, but Marvel is still clobbering them.

Hmm...not true. Unless you're not a fan of Captain America or Avengers: Initiative.

JMS was quite the interview hound before #1 dropped, you're right. I'm sure it's combination of all the promises he made for the series, Coipel's artwork and the return of Thor that made it sell big. Still, the number slot is more then I would have thought.

Thor #1 was a pretty cool introductory issue.

As for the rest:
- Incredible Hulk #108 (11)
- Avengers: The Initiative #4 (13)
- Captain America #28 (14)

Meh, outside of Wolverine and maybe Uncanny (which I don't read either) all those books are pretty solid.

**** yeah.

The highest I ever saw Thor on the charts was in the mid-40s a few years ago, but I admittedly don't look at sales numbers too often. I think I only looked that time to prove a point about Thor selling about as well as Cap and Iron Man but Thor's comic being the only one that was canceled in Disassembled, in fact.

Well Omega Flight is still in the top 50, but no word on an on-going yet. I assume they will reveal it at Toronto con and if not then..well..*shrugs*
