Ok, so I've always stuck pretty stringently to marvel and indies but I'm finally looking to get into DC, would the new justice league series be a good jumping on point?

If not (too much backstory to catch up on etc) could someone recomend me a "way in"

damn you and your correct grammar :o if any mods read this and want to save me some blushes...

It's the jumping on point, not the jumping off point.
It also depends what you want to start with?
My jumping on point was Kingdom Come, which made Marvel look like a bunch of amateurs.

I guess if you use urban lingo it would be called the jump off point.

JLA 0 is out these days, as are Batman 655, Wonder Woman 1, Detective comics 821 (released last month), Action Comics 841, Superman 654.
Batman & the Mad Monk, a 6 issue mini by Matt Wagner, starts next week.

I would recommend the new arcs of Batman and Superman along with the Wonder Woman relaunch along with Justice League of America and Teen Titans for a good start for DC
