While JP3 and 2 where a lot better then star wars 1 and 2 lol. So it could be worse.

Oh i disagree to infinity, episodes 1 and 2 are far superior than those films for me.

But i wont argue your choices, mainly cause they are so different that its hard for me to compare them, and ones are sequels and the other prequels. But personally i cant agree with that

I do enjoy those JP movies anyway, but there were moments that took me away so much from the story that it really was distracting

I am kinda shocked the review score started out in the 60's. Usually with movies like this, the review score starts out high like in the 80s-90's then drops. I seeing this Friday night (in 3D sadly) and I pretty sure I will like it from what I heard.

While I think a lot of times a movie will come out in other country and start getting reviews first before the USA and USA tends to be more hard. But because reviews where not allowed to come out in till today we are getting reviews from all over all at once. I don't know why you said sadly about 3d lol. When they had JP1 in theaters in 2013 for being 20 years old the 3d looked amazing! Just about the best 3d I have ever seen before and any movie like this has got to be seen in 3d!.

Anyone know if there's anything after the credits? or a mid-credits scene?

While would there be? Most movies don't. That is really just a marvel thing.

While it is very rare that I think a movie is as bad has people say even if I don't like the movie but episodes 1 and 2 where as bad as people say and 2 of the worst movies I have ever seen before. Jp2 was a sold movie on the other hand and jp3 while bad was like a master peace compared to episode 1 or 2. Thankfully episode 3 was really good.

Oh we could argue this forever and i disagree with that (except with ep 3), but i will let it pass. Lets focus on JP here, and hopefully a good movie

I don't know how long you've been watching movies for, but there's a lot of movies that did it long before Marvel was even a thing. It's entirely possible there could be - especially BECAUSE Marvel kind of made this a trend for franchise films. People almost expect it these days.

All in all - it was an honest question. No need to try and act all high and mighty about it.

I wouldn't be surprised if this ended up around 50 - 60%. The film has some plot points that won't go over well with some people. I agree with Faraci's assessment of the I-rex.

Oh ok while do you think this movie could get back to 70 RT?

I wasn't trying to act all high and mighty. I just would have never thought about this movie having a credit since. Also most movies don't do that witch is why I said how that is a big marvel thing.

Please don't say that. The movie has got to score better then lost worlds 52.

ITs at 68 right now. Remembering Godzilla it started like really really high and then dropped and finally ended in the 70s. For this one i dont know, its in a pretty good spot now, but there are still tons of reviews left to show up. It could go either way but i wish it had a stronger start so i guess it will end in the 60s, 70s hopefully.

But if the bad ones start getting in by a large margin, then it will end up rotten for sure

17 fresh and 9 rotten. If the next 4 are fresh the movie can be back to 70.

You said Godzilla started really high. Like how high? What did it look like after like 50-100 reviews? Also didn't goldzilla come out in other country first? So the way reviews started coming in was different? But yeah it is to early to really no right now. It did start off 3 fresh and 3 rotten though and now it is at 18 fresh and 10 rotten so that means 15 fresh and 7 rotten in the last 22 so it is kind of sort of doing better now right?

I had a feeling this movie wouldn't be all that amazing. But I sure hope its at least entertaining. Because I have plans to see it with people thursday and saturday. lol

Like 90s high, for a long while it was there

I remember asm2 started high and then had a lot of rotten reviews but it also had a lot of like 3/5 type reviews that where consider rotten and its average score was like 5.9. When it started high was its average score a lot higher then 5.9? Or even when it started of higher was its average score still like 5.9 but there where just a lot of 3/5 consider good at first before the 3/5 rotten ones came?

Mmm interesting. I think asm2 was at like 80 after 100 reviews or something and yet end at like a 52. I could have sworn the movie at 1 point had a streak of like 10 rotten reviews in a row and at 1 point had like 20 rotten and 5 fresh out of 25 to really start to bring it down.

Oh man i cant remember LOL that was like an year ago, i think it was something like that when it was in the 100s, or even in the 4 margin, it was crazy high. A couple of more Godzilla scenes and more Cranston and that movie would have been a solid 90s for sure

Tomorrowland had a score hovering in the 60's/early 70's for the longest and ended with 49%. It's too early to know where JW is going to end up, we just have to wait.

Yeah I don't remember for sure. I just now that asm2 started off while and looked like the lowest it would get would be a 60 for a while. Yeah I kind of liked Godzilla but they teased him to much. You don't even see him in till like 60% of the way though the movie and then it is just small amounts in till the end fight and yeah Cranston was like the only good person worth any thing in the movie and he was only in it for like the first 3erd of the movie or something like that.

When u say for the longest time are you talking about 100, 150 reviews or something?

20 fresh and 10 rotten. If the next 3 are fresh it will be at 69%. Good thing its average score so far is sort of stabilizing at 7/6.8.

So far the impression the reviews are giving me are: "not great, but decent" and "flawed, but fun'. It sounds like the type of movie where if you go into it with the attitude of just wanting to go on a ride, there's a lot to enjoy, but if you go into it expecting a top to bottom great film you'll be sorely disappointed.

The other thing I noticed in both Jeremy Jahns and SchmoesKnow reviews is they both referenced it as being very much straight forward monster movie, just with dinosaurs. For Jahns that was more of a negative, and he seemed to really be looking for it to recapture the same feelings as the original, whereas Schmoes seemed more okay with that and had a more favorable attitude towards the film. Harloff said this was what he wanted Godzilla to be. Mostly everyone seems to agree there is some shoddy character work and too many subplots.

I'm looking forward to checking it out this weekend hopefully. I think I have a good idea of where to dial in my expectations.
