This is just a thought, a what-if. Now, I can't even bear to watch Superman II, Lester's version, but since I heard great response just from the opening to Donner's SII shown at Comic Con, I know I'll see that since I love the first film. They said a new ending will made for this film, which is good but it depends on what it is. But I had this theory: do you think, or, if they did end the film on something that says "after this movie, go straight to Superman Returns", meaning; them making this film connect to the new film, would that be bad, even for you?
I mean; SR uses SII as part of its vague history. And I can't stand Lester's SII, but if they replaced it with Donner's and made it connect to SR, that would be interesting as I can watch three positive movies and not watch one great movie, one I cring at, and a good movie as last (I like SR) in one sitting. But, maybe for the rest of you, you would want Superman II Donner's Cut to be just connected to STM and ignore SIII & SIV and have Superman Returns to be its own.
