Personally I think the coolest guy in the marvel movies is Samuel L. Jackson, and if he doesn't say motherf***er at least once in the avengers i will not be satified.
Tell me you thoughts of his overall involvement in the marvel film series

He's the only guy cooler than Tony Stark. :yay:

I like him. At first I was like why Nick Fury gotta be black, but I feel only the Ultimate Nick Fury would work in this series of films because of Sam Jackson.

This is a great movie. I WAS AMAZING IN THIS!

I was surprised they didn't give him more action scenes. But he did at least get a few little ones.

He's been handled fine and I find the ultimate version of Fury far more interesting then the main 616 one. It's just my opinion and Fury in the 616 just never caught on with me and I've been reading comics since I was 12 or 13. The Avengers are big enough as is and Iwant the film focused on them. I love Jackson and I liked Smulders as Hill but if i want to see them with more action and screen time then I'd want a shield movie. The balance and use of those characters were just right.

I think Jackson gave a really good, understated performance here. It definitely wasn't him being a caricature of himself.

And Fury was written PERFECTLY.

Mr. Jackson! I'm a big fan. I was just wondering, how do you find the time to be in every movie ever?

Jackson's performance was stellar throughout the movie. His best scene was the one where Fury talked to Steve and Tony after Phil died. Jackson carried all of the dialog in that scene and he really made Fury's reaction to losing his "one good eye" very poignant. His delivery of those lines -- "Lost my one good eye. Maybe I had that coming." -- was wrenching. Though Fury's grief was palpable, he manipulated Steve and Tony as skilfully and callously as did Loki. It was a masterful job by Jackson, one that seems to be getting overlooked by critics and fans.

His reaction when looking at [BLACKOUT]Coulson dying[/BLACKOUT] lead me to believe Coulson [BLACKOUT]genuinely being dead[/BLACKOUT] - Brilliant acting.

Jackson is great in everything and for me this was no exception. He owned in every scene he had and then some.

SLJ has been great. For what his part has been thus far in the MCU he has played it to perfection, imo. If they ever give him the chance to put more depth into him instead of just the manipulative MFer aspect that he is, he could be one of the best characters in the whole MCU

He was all right. He was much, much better than he has been in his cameo appearances. Solid job as Fury.

My only disappointment with the character is from Captain America. I was so looking forward to him being with the howling commandos and giving him a really great back story, yet it didn't happen.

Sam acted really well in the film and I love him shooting out an airplane with a nuke on it and having to ask where the sun is.
