And now I remember why I didnt like it. I found it very silly that Dr octopuss talks to his mechanical arms and they're apparently so advanced that they control him. Thats a little farfetched. And I also didnt like how when he decides not to become Spiderman he basically loses his powers. That makes no sense at all. I really didnt like that. And there were other things that ruind for me as well. Like that aunt May scene. A 70 year old lady is being tossed around like a rag doll, Im pretty sure she'd some sort of stroke. And I didnt like the part where they were having a money bag fight either. Nonetheless I geuss it was an alright movie, but those things definitly made the movie worse.

...and you are what makes this board worse. A new thread just for that idiotic topic. It's absolutely sad and pathetic.

Mods, once again please think about a 300 post count in order to start new threads.

No.^

Maybe a couple weeks after the register.
What if someone has something very important to tell? Or they want to make a art thread in the Fan Art forum?

If they continue to make dumb threads then ban them from making threads for awhile.

Boo hoo, quit your whining noob. :down

the only thing about the movie i didnt like was the fact that he lost hes powers just because he didnt want to be spider-man anymore...i thought that was dumb to, but thats tha only thing i didnt like, but i still give it an A

No, he lost his powers because of the stress. That's happened alot. It was a very Stan Lee thing to do. Stan would write Spidey as losing his powers to head colds even.

Correct! If there was one part I didn't like it was that however. Not that it ruined the movie for me. A Plus movie for me.

I liked it. It was a problem for Peter in the movie which makes the plot better.

- talking to the arms farfetched? nah what about being bitten by a genetically altered spider, and then being able to shoot spiderwebbing out of your wrist?? that aint farfetched??
- losing his powers because he decieds to, the mind is a powerfull thing...
- throwing aunt May around, I agree on this, she should've snapped her 70year old neck, and she's got the best granny stamina if she can hold on to her umbrella for that long at 90 feet in the air.
- I don't see any problems with the money bags though

Go to hell.

I like everything about Spider-Man 2. I didn't mind the Aunt May/Bank sequence, I'd rather have her than that small kid Spidey saved from the falling balloon. Plus when Spider-Man caught Aunt May and swung passed a couple of hot chicks lol that was awesome.

I liked the ending. I liked almost everything other then the cheese moments. And I also did not like Doc Octopuss.

You know what else is farfetched?

A man who's bit by a radioactive spider and can climb walls and spider web comes out of his wrists....

If it ain't realistic enough for you then don't watch

As oppossed to talking to mechanical arms? They dont even compare. At least they explain how he gets his spider powers. The spider alters his DNA. Thats believable for a movie. But mechanical arms so advanced they control you and have conversations with you, telling you to rob a bank. Even for a movie that is farfetched. And if you had read my previous post I said overall I said the movie was pretty good, so quit taking offense to my comments.

It's a freakin' sci-fi movie.:o

They can do what they want.

That's pretty much the bulk of the movie that you dislike then.

Personally, I think Doc Ock is the best thing in the entire movie. He stole every scene he was in.

kinda off topic, but, didn't want to start a new thread, I was watching it again the other day and I was thinking, does anyone else think they made J.J. Jr. to much of a nice guy to of lost the girl at the end, you kinda feel bad for the guy. they should of made him alil more of a jerk or something, like that whole "what about you friend the photographer" scene, he should of been all like "I hope your not planning on visiting that parker loser your always talking about." or something, more jealous like to make, people not care that he got left at the alter at he end. Just a thought

I think him being a nice guy made MJ's decision to leave him all the more harder, not to mention it was supposed to make us feel sorry for him.

MJ already dated one jerk in SM-1. It would be silly if she got engaged to another one in SM-2.

iam not saying he should of been a jerk to her, just not so, why the heck would she leave him for peter (another, thing I thought of is that she thought the JJJ was spider man(he was something of a hero type, i don't know went he was supose to be on the space mission, or if it was aroundthe sometime that spidey went missing), with the whole up side down kiss scene, the look of disapointment in her face like she just realized something, was like, hmm this is the guy I love, and then she mets up wiht peter and asks him to kiss her) I know it's a wierd thoery

i hate:

Whoa he stole that guy's pizza...
That's what my mom always tells me but i never actually believed her
Parker fumbling in the closet (where'd he get his clothes?)
Ursula
Peter losing his powers because he's depressed. Get out of here, that's not how it works, is it? His kryptonite is depression?
CGI. I watch it now and the cgi looks outdated already.
Ock being controlled by his tentacles. That's bs.
there's only one almost decent wisecrack in the entire film.
More cheese- spidey losing his mask, and the scene after he stopps the train. (one big eye roll worthy scene for me)
Ock throwing a car at Parker. This was stupid of him.
Spider-man punching ock in the face 100 times and ock taking it like it's nothing. give me a break.

I loved:

Alfred Molina. He elevates the film to a level it had no right to be in.
JJJ Perfect casting. He's chewing up every scene he's in, but I'll be damned if I didn't love it.
Parker confessing to aunt may.
Spidey pushing himself to his limit to stop the train.
Bruce Campbell
James Franco, not the best written, but he plays it very well for my tastes.
The pacing.
I'm back i'm back. My back my back.
The power of the sun in the palm of my hand.
Butterfingers!

That's all for now folks.

Oh and i said i loved some things so don't attack me.

What? How the hell else were they supposed to make Otto Octavius evil? He gets arms attached to his back and all of a sudden he loses his mind? Having the arms talk to him is what made Doctor Octopus, the arms controlling him is what made they guy having tea with Peter turn into the guy trying to crush Spider-Man's head. They even set it up early in the movie:

Reporter: Doctor, if the artificial intelligence in the arms is as advanced as you suggest couldn't that make you vulnerable to them?

Octavius: How right you are. Which is why I developed this inhibitor chip to protect my higher brain function. It means I maintain control of these arms, instead of them controlling me.

I always thought this was better than the first though it's not that great in hindsight.

He's Doc Ock. He IS evil.
