The Dark Knight just watched Four Jacks

So . . . I watched Four Jacks . . . I thought the movie was decent until the end . . . then I really came to respect this movie for the indie gem that it is . . . . Hulme, to say the least was charismatic, charming, and gritty . . . he will be crowned the clown prince of crime, and I'm even more convinced after seeing this film . . .

anyone else care to offer some opinions after seeing this flick?

I wasn't getting into it much either, to be honest . . . the main protagonist was a big p*ssy . . . Hulme was the best thing about the film . . . of course, I try to consider that this was an indie, and they did what they could . . . the characters other than that were pretty colorful

I will be the ultimate verdict as I am unbiased between Hulme and bettany....if neither get the Joker role in the next Batman...then they better have a pretty damm good reason for it....Hulme at least looks demented...I will add to this later on in the night after watching the 4 jacks..

^From what I gather from Ganster No. 1, Four Jacks is far less of a cool movie (I like violence, etc.) . . . but you have to take it for what it's worth; Regardless, Hulme qwned this movie . . .

I expect a lot less action but more dialogue...I can appreciate both aspects of these kinds of movies..

Still though, there's not much footage of him smiling . . . there are a couple scenes, but nothing Joker-esque

There are many scenes of him grinding his teeth, and scowling though . . . I plan to produce a few more pics of him that are more accurate than my previous drawing . . . cuz the teeth were way off

Also, I noticed that Hulme looks a lot like Sean Penn . . . seriously; it's actually uncanny at times, which made me think about that story of a drunken Bale revealing that Nolan was going after "Sean Penn" for the role; coincidence?

I don't think so . . . Christian Bale mentioned him as the first contender basically, to some reported, as he was sauced at a premier party . . . those rumors have long since died . . .

My argument is that Hulme has an uncanny resemblance to Penn, moreso after you watch this moive . . . I think Bale was joking around, saying that they're trying to woo "Sean Penn" . . .

As long as those terrible rumors of Jude law or Hugo Weaving are history, then I'm ok! I hope they keep this a Bettany v.s. Hulme match till the end!

Thats exactly how I am now. I used to be all for Bettany but then in one of the recent Hulme interviews it said that he knows the comic books very well and if that is the case I would rather have him. Someone who understands the joker needs to play the part. Since I read that interview I've greatly warmed up towards Hulme, but still think that Bettany would be a great choice as well.

exactly, I am a fan of either and I've said this before....as long as we have either of Bettany or Hulme, we can't go wrong...

if they choose someone else...they better have a damm good reason...
