Justice League Justice League - All the Deleted Footage SPOILER Talk - Part 2

They changed what clark was watching on TV in this scene.

In Africa, when he flew in, he blew up two drones before the CIA was able to blow up the whole African village. In the TC there was no attemted drone bombing of the African village from the CIA. Those are two instances that come to mind. Those aren't just additions to scenes, they're altered, repurposed and they do contradict.

It doesnt contradict the entire movie; it's just a throw away scene that could have added more action but didn't change the story.

No, it doesn't contradict really, it only expands; in the TC what we see on the TV is the media questioning Superman intentions and the outcome of his interventions, in the UC what we get is very specific to the Africa incident.

Basically, both takes serve the same function, which is to put more of the weight of the world in Clark's shoulders and see how that affects him, one is just a lot more specific than the other.

I meant they aren't two cuts that can coexist in the same canon. One has events play out in a different way than the other.

How the events play out can be viewed from two pov's.. 1.What actually happened, which is shown in UC, 2. How Lex's men's wanted the World to view how the events happened there (TC).

Both are valid as they represent same incident but from two different pov's, the end outcome however, is the same.

That's a stretch... Like I said, there a scene where Clark looks at a tv and what plays on the screen was changed to something else for the TC cut.

Yeah, but the end result is the same, the point of that scene is for Clark to question his mission; the end result is the same in both cuts.

I know. I was just saying the the two versions contradict themselves, content-wise. The way the events play out is different.

To be fair, big picture speaking, that's the sorta thing that only obsessive nerds like us would notice and/or care about.

So I think we have all read the explanations in one of those YouTube videos about how Snyder's movie was supposed to go... I must say there is actually a part I don't like and it's having Superman's suit be black because of Darkseid. Additionally I wonder if that was even going to be filmed because in the deleted scene we see the black suit on the Kryptonian ship.

I believe in the TC the news is about Batman's branding criminals and in the UC it's the scene with the African women condemning Superman.

I don't think they ever filmed Superman wearing a Black suit for JL.

Also, this -

Now I want an AMA with Snyder.

Make that *AMAALAIRTTMOTDCEUMANBTSD

*Ask me anything as long as it relates to the making of the DCEU movies and not behind the scenes drama

Note; not my own personal opinion but apparently, some people are speculating that the post that Snyder made earlier this week was a potential cryptic message regarding his cut of JL.

Am I the only one concerned with how Snyder got that cut? That **** looks nasty.

That thing is disgusting as #+%*
I hate that it keeps being posted.

Huh....yeah, maybe I'm misremembering...

Oh well...

Let's be fair, who the heck has even watched the BvS theatrical cut after the UE was released? :funny:

If you have the copy on iTunes, the TC is the only way to watch the film with its original color grading.

I couldn’t believe WB retroactively altered the UC stream with brighter colors. :funny:

Wait what? I never knew this

I don't think it was ever widely reported, but I got word from /r/DC_Cinematic

Confirmed it with my own personal digital copy. Switched back and forth between TC and UC...colors are distinctly different. Not dramatic, but it's there in comparison.

This is not present on the physical BD/UHDs, so this was clearly a move from the top in the lead-up to JL, as streams are easier to replace straight from the company.

Oh wow. WB are becoming worse than George Lucas. Can you link me to a side-by-side comparison?
