I thought I'd make a poll (multiple choice of course) asking who most people think the main cast of a Justice League movie should be. I've tried to include as many as I could, and I only put those that have officially been a part of the roster in the comics, which actually was pretty much everyone. I had to leave a bunch out, but I hope I got most of the important ones.

So basically, if it were up to you to decide which characters will appear in a Justice League movie, whether it be right now or years down the line, with characters already established or ones who might take a while to bring about in another film series (like Nightwing for example), who would you choose to be in the first Justice League film?

Damn, I tried hard not to make any spelling mistakes. Martina Manhunter... *shakes head*

I choose:

1. Superman (Clark Kent)
2. Batman (Bruce Wayne)
3. Wonder Woman (Princess Diane)
4. The Flash (Wally West)
5. Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner)
6. Blue Beetle (Ted Kord)
7. Booster Gold (Michael Jon Carter)
8. Martian Manhunter
9. The Red Tornado
10. Captain Atom

With any Justice League movie you need "The Big 3" in there. Even if it's cameo... But for some reason if & when they ever do a Justice League Movie, I have a feeling that "The Big 3" won't be in there, something to do with WB rights and all, but it would be nice to see them in there.

So if "The Big 3" weren't in there 4-10 would be my choice to represent the league...

The reasons I choose Wally West & Kyle Rayner is that I think you need some youngsters in there to balance out the straight and narrow, do everything by the book characters of Captain Atom & Martian Manhunter (maybe not so much)

Booster & Beetle for comedic relief...plus they totally rule!

Original 7. Ideally you wouldn't even think about making a JL movie before making movies for each character first, to introduce them to the audiences. Martian Manhunter is the only one who doesn't need his own movie first. Throwing in more characters, many of whom aren't even well known, will just confuse audiences and dilute the movie's focus.

I think only five characters are needed on the roster:

Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern.

I personally would prefer Wally and John for team dynamics. I believe other characters should be involved, and that Martian Manhunter should be involved in helping the league form on some level, but I think that only the "Big 5" for lack of a better term are needed for the film to retain an epic focus. I'd definitely have a good chunk of those characters turning down the league the first time around perhaps to join the second round.

Also, there's no reason from storyline or character standpoint for Flash to need a movie and J'onn not to... that's just comics popularity talking, they both have crazy backstories that take just as much time away from the movie if they aren't common knowledge to the masses.

What? No Oracle?

That could work as a pre-Watchtower move: Oracle spots the need and relays it to J'onn, who doles out the info from there. It could work....

A roster? Hmmm....Well, I don't see it being taken too seriously if you don't have Supey, WW and Bats, as the JLA TV movie showed. It's taken alot to overcome that fiasco! The last thing Comic-genre movies need is that level of camp again(though it would be right for the BG-BB movie).

1) Superman
2) Wonder Woman (or possibly Wonder Girl; granted it's a stretch)
3) Batman (or Nightwing/Hawkman)
4) Flash (Wally)
5) Green Lantern (Hal or John)
6) Green Arrow (but only if you have Bats, if not, then Aquaman)

No one Replaces Batman

lso, there's no reason from storyline or character standpoint for Flash to need a movie and J'onn not to... that's just comics popularity talking, they both have crazy backstories that take just as much time away from the movie if they aren't common knowledge to the masses.

I said J'onn doesn't need his own movie for several reasons. First, yes, he is less popular and . I'm sure the Flash can carry his own movie, but less so with Martian Manhunter.

Second of all, the Justice League movie will need to have a good focus for storytelling purposes. Unless you want it to be an unfocused crossover movie with little depth or development for most, if not all of the characters, then some characters will have to be in the spotlight while others get a bit shafted. The X-Men movies did it by making Wolverine the star (the actually went too far in this direction). Now, let's face it, in any Justice League movie Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman will get more attention than the others. Guys like Green Lantern and the Flash deserve more than to be bit characters who are never even properly introduced to the audience.

However, the story of the League's creation also has to be told. And that would be easily accomplished by doing something similar to the DCAU: have J'onn gather the team to fend off an alien threat that he alone has experience and history with. J'onn could be the final character (after the Big 3) to receive major attention, since his own origin is easily tied into the main plot of the movie.

Of course, this doesn't mean that the other characters will be completely shafted; they just won't be the stars. One of the things that I loved about JLU was the show's ability to make even obscure characters seem cool in just a few brief scenes in a handful of episodes. The Flash, GL, or Aquaman could be given their due with a couple really awesome moments for each.

I would give a limb to see Zatanna in those fishnets on screen.

I would personally enjoy an adoptation of JUSTICE (the Krueger/Braithwaite/Ross masterpiece).

I think it has all the elements and everything a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie needs. While Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman have major roles, the story isnt about them, it is an ensemble that so far has covered all the essential parts of the DC Universe. Having the Big Three not in the entire movie also means the actors have less screen time and also means they would'nt be getting paid what they get in their own feature film.

The actual movie can be rendered so that it is the Justice League's first team up. Barry and Hal can be replaced by Wally and Kyle just so we can have some what of a different voice in the film.

The trailer would be easy to put together as their are amazing action scenes. (The openning sequence in the comic alone would sell the movie.)

The Metal Men/ Justice League Team up would make awesome action figures.

If it cost too much to put on the big screen, make it an HBO 12 episode special and have the DVD's sell themselves. Getting the actors (Bale/Routh, whoever else) would be difficult but could be done with someone like Luc Besson, F. Gary Gray, Ridley Scott, as long as it is not michael bay or Joel Schumakebadmovies I am ok. I wouldn't recommend Nolan nor Singer. Peter Jackson would do alright too I guess.

Have Jim Krueger write and screen play, alex ross and doug braitwaite draw the storyboard and have all three of them as consultants, and we would have a kick ass, ridiculously expensive, JUSTICE LEAGUE movie. (I would also leave out the "America" at the end of Justice League, seeing as how they also do stuff in other country's.

I would say the hero roster should be something along the original lines, like Superman,Batman,Wonder Woman,The Flash[Barry Allen],Green Lantern[Hal Jordan],The Atom[Ray Palmer],Martian Manhunter and Black Canary.

Booster & Beetle for comedic relief...plus they totally rule![/quote]

Don't need comedic relief.

Superman:Brandon Routh
Batman:Christain Bale
Wonder Woman: Evangeline Lilly
Green Lantern (Hal): Joquain Pheonix
The Flash (Wally): Ryan Renolds
Green Arrow: Kiefer Sutherland
Martain Manhunter: Laurence Fishbourne

I think thats quite a good roster (and cast). You need the big 5, and i always feel J'onn is essentail as well. After that you really hav a choice of a seventh member (any more than 7 is too crowded). IMO it's a choice between Green Arrow, Hawkman/Girl, Zatana, Black Canary or Aquaman. I went for Olli simply because I love the character and he fits niceley with Hal.

I agree.

Batman: Christian Bale

Wonder Woman: Jennifer Connolly
Green Arrow: Justin Hartley
The Flash: Ryan Reynolds
Martian Man Hunter: Lawrence Fishbourne , Phil Morris or Carl Lumby
Green Lantern (Hal Jordan): Jim Caviezel
Aquaman: Sean Bean

I'm sorry, guys....I just can't see Lawrence Fishbourne as J'onn. Even if I squint reallllllly hard.

Superman
Batman
Wonder Woman
Flash (Wally)
GL (John)
Hawkwoman
Martian Manhunter

I also voted Aquamanm, but on second thought he'd make the team a bit cumbersome and would be better explored in a solo flick. Same could go for GL and Flash.

They would have to start out small.

I would say 5 to 6 tops.

Superman,Batman,and Wonder Woman.

Green Lantern(Hal),Green Arrow,Black Canary

with a cameo or small role for Zatanna, until the sequel

IMO: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash (West), Green Lantern (Jordan), Green Arrow, and Black Canary. (I wouldn't mind another girl or two, but I can't think of many main event, A-list females... I know DC has a bunch of women, but I mean a couple somewhere near Wonder Woman status...)
