Yeah what is more hyped up right now DOFP or ASM2? Avengers 2? Amazing Spider-Man 2 likely falls at the bottom of the hype list. And as huge as Raimi's Spider-Man movies were, they weren't as huge as TDK movies.
Spider-Man is the least interesting hero. Thor is fantastical and brings you to new worlds and to see and has so much potential for intergalactic and fantasy advenures. He also has earth adventures make the stakes so much higher and epic with what he can bring on earth as well with villains he can fight.

Spiderman is just kinda boring to me. I use to like his team up as a kid but he doesn't hold my interest anymore and has boring villains.

Venom is the only Spiderman story I have interest in.

X-men 1st class easily tops any Spiderman movie ever made.

Ill take X-men over Spiderman in any movie.

Anyone read this series?

It would make for a good story to have Darkseid in the JLA

Glorious Godfrey arrived on Earth and assumed the human guise of G. Gordon Godfrey. Using his powers of mental persuasion, he insinuated himself into the public consciousness as a civil rights advocate. Godfrey's rhetoric encouraged self-reliance, claiming that mankind's dependency upon super-heroes had made them weak. His influence quickly spread across the nation, and before long, large portions of the country's population began to violently rebel against the super-hero community.
Doctor Bedlam's contributions towards Operation: Humiliation relied upon destroying the confidence of individual heroes. Towards this end, he downloaded his own consciousness into an artificial clone automaton known as Macro-Man. Macro-Man appeared in Billy Batson's hometown as a three-story high super-villain. Billy transformed into Captain Marvel and fought with Macro-Man in a battle that resulted in the latter's apparent death. Believing that he had in fact killed another human being, Billy vowed to never become Captain Marvel again. In reality, Darkseid had orchestrated the destruction of the Macro-Man on his own, with the intention of destroying Captain Marvel's faith in himself. The plan briefly worked, but before long, Billy realized the importance of heroes in the world, transformed back into Captain Marvel, figured out the truth about Macro-Man's demise, and returned to active duty.

The Macro-Man incident made instant headlines and the news served only to enflame national tension. G. Gordon Godfrey used this opportunity to promote even further aggression upon the populace and before long, citizens were forming lynch mobs and hunting down active heroes with the intent of destroying them.

The violence became so intense, that President Ronald Reagan drafted an executive order, barring all super-human individuals from using their powers or even wearing their costumes. However, this action only served to hinder law-abiding heroes, leaving the super-villain community free to commit acts of violence without fear of reprisal.

The mystic hero known as Doctor Fate recognized that chaos was overtaking the country, and in order to maintain the cosmic balance, he began recruiting several heroes to his cause. These heroes successfully exposed G. Gordon Godfrey for the villain that he was and freed the minds of those under his thrall.

I think going offworld for a JL movie adventure is the best choice for a couple off reasons.

1.It is not another Alien invasion story which have become quite common especially in light of the Avengers.

2.We dont have clear idea of how all aspects of the DCU earth on film is going to be potrayed. For example we dont know how the Flashs film will potray his mythos, same with WW,Gl etc.
Seeing as we dont have a clear overall picture of the DCUearth-on-filmverse will be like I think its best to go off earth-to a place where it doesnt matter.

Then have the solomovies deal with those questions later.

My idea for an offworld JL space adventure is this-

With thousands of humans mysteriously kidnapped from Earth to Apokolips-the Hell planet of Galactic Myths.

Superman gathers a team of the earths greatest heroes on a rescue mission to Apoklips.

The movie covers the Teams battles with the forces of Apokolips to free the humans under the guidance of the spirits of the deceased New gods. The movie will also cover the Teams eforts to stop the ressurection of Darkseid-the Galacatic Satan.

i like the off world concept but i think that's best saved after the heroes get together on earth.

I don't know about JL going to Apokolips in the first film.

How does everybody feel if Zack Snyder and David Goyer took over the DCU for WB?

Man oh man! Just look at the scale of this movie! This is what Justice League needs to be. It needs to be EPIC! And that tagline, pretty much a call to arms for WB.

After watching that, who'd you rather direct JL? Snyder or del Toro?
I'd expect snyder to get the first crack at jl; whether he does another one and finishes the man of steel trilogy is another story. I'd have to think that he'd probably get burnt out after jl; del toro with an off world concept could be pretty cool for jl 2.

I'm a big Hellboy fan. I want Del Toro to do Hellboy 3 next really bad. Put Hellboy 3 out in 2015, then do JL Dark for 2017.

Del Toro should at least produce JL. Del Toro recently said he may not direct JL Dark. He may only write JL Dark and produce it.

Please just give me Hellboy 3 Del Toro. We need an ending for this trilogy.

Honestly, I'd rather have Heaven Sent than Hellboy 3 at this point.

I disagree with this. I have a very mixed reaction over that movie. I love Fassbender/Magneto, I liked McAvoy/Xavier & Lawrence but the rest of the movie just irritated me. I'll take the Spider-Man movies over that any day. X-Men 2 is a different story though and I have high hopes for the new one.

Thor, in the movies, is entertaining but not that interesting. It has so much more potential but of course Marvel likes to dumb things down.

Pacific Rim looks cool visually, for a popcorn flick. Certainly looks better than Transformers but same kind of concept. Huge scale action, zero substance really. Just a fun time. Ill stick with Snyder.

Snyder needs to do JL, Del Toro needs to do Dark Universe.

I'd be thrilled.

Lets be honest. Visually Del Toro and Snyder are the best directors in Hollywood and they are at WB's and interested in DC films.

DC is coming.

Visually yes but IMO that's only half the battle. It may still make for "successful" movies, but they need good writers too. Which is why people want Goyer and maybe Nolan. Im actually not a fan of Del Toro's movies even though they look "cool" and I feel the same with Snyder unless he's adapting something from the comics. In MOS's case, he has Goyer/Nolan guiding him which is a great balance.

Obviously Guillermo and Zack are visually brilliant, and I DO look forward to Dark Universe/Man Of Steel/Justice League, but I still think they need a shakeup with their writers. Someone like Goyer/Nolan to hold them back a little bit when they go overboard.

Del Toro writes. He wrote Hellboy 1 & 2. I think he wrote the first 2 Blades. Pans Lab. He need Darren for Batman though.

Mercenaries and yes men. Bottom line is they have to prove themselves, and that means moving away from Nolan's omnipresent shadow. Snyder has not produced a quality story as of yet in my mind. I don't think these are the guys. But with the right tutelage and guidance, they may be able to break out of old habits.

Goyer wrote all 3 Blade movies, Del Toro didn't write that. Guillermo directed the second movie.

Im not a fan of the Hellboy movies though. Darren?

I think Del Toro could really shine in handling either a Green Lantern or Wonder Woman movie. He's great at showing gritty fantastical elements, which could really help expand the MoS universe beyond the sci-fi level. I'd love a new Green Lantern with a Hellboy/Pans Labyrinth type of tone.

Left to their own devices? Not sure if that would work out for the best. They seem to need a guiding hand as Nolan had been providing.
