This shared universe will be so fragile. One lousy film whether it be Flash or another GL can really ruin things. Everyone over at WB/DC better be all in. Can't afford any setbacks.

100% Agreed. They are at great risk. However, as I've always said - the more risks there are, the higher the potential is.

With this news, I can see Bale returning for 1 or 2 team up films with JGL starring in a series of Robin solo flicks to take the place of Batman solo films
I would be really happy with that.

But I also think it's pretty damn cool if Goyer writes a new version of Batman in JL with Snyder's amazing visuals/fights. Then a new writer & director pair take the same actor for the solos.

Aronofsky could be bring a dreamy trippy style once in a while to a dark and gritty Gotham.

Del Toro would go all gargoyles and ****. He would be great for an Arkham Asylum adaptation. Especially if you look at the graphic novel. Maybe after Pacific Rim and Dark Universe the studio will be REALLY high on him. More than they are right now.

Rian Johnson or Alfonso Cuaron. Bring some sci-fi, fantastic camera work and of course keep it dark. A great balance of everything.

MOS2 has been greenlit faster than a speeding bullet.

So far MOS is killing it in the reviews, so expect progress with DC superheroes.

It's crazy man.

MOS 2 for 2015 or 2016. Lex Luthor. Another villain. A Batman appearance (im sure of it). Maybe easter eggs for a couple of other characters.

My gutt feeling its Worlds Finest in disguise. So does that mean WB want a new batman established in peoples minds before a JL film or are they settled in trying to get bale back for just 2 films? and reboot batman later in the future. If i see JGL as batman im gonna spit the dummy.

Goyer doesn't have to write every DCU film.

Agreed, and seeing as he wrote The Dark Knight trilogy, I don't think he's likely to jump at another Batman movie anyway. He mentioned that he wanted to do Wonder Woman a while ago. I'd be all over that.

I'm so excited that the shared universe is finally happening! DC seems to be getting their stuff together.

Happy to hear MOS 2 coming before JL.
I however dont want MOS 2 to be a prequel to Justice League.Let MOS 2 be the sequel to MOS 1 and not getted bogged down by a shared universe.Only references to ashred universe shld be something like the wayne enterprises logo.Rnbr Iron man 2

Also dont want MOS 2 and JL dark to be the only Dc movies released before JL. They have ample time to release a Flash and WW movie so utilize that. Dont be chicken WB but also dont be reckless.

I think if they were going to make WW or Flash solos they would have started/announced it by now. No reason to wait till MOS is released.

I'm still very apprehensive about all this...

First of all, I want to see how Man of Steel does overall (critically and commercially) but I'll lock onto this. After all, of course WB have been having discussion, but things can change.

And if all does go smoothly, do I really want the DCMU being overseen by Goyer and Snyder alone?

Goyer is a good concept man and Snyder has a great eye... but we may need something more. I don't really want to lose the backing and guidance of Nolan. After all, without him, we may never have had MOS in the first place.

What exactly was Nolan's contribution to MOS? Aside from producing?

For starters, he developed, and I have zero doubt, improved upon the story with Goyer.

He went to WB and convinced them to greenlight the movie, a movie that they could plaster his name on.

He hired Zack Snyder (In hindsight, an excellent choice) and helped to partially assemble the cast and crew. He then let them get on with it... but it's hard to deny his influence over the film.

The question now is, just how much does he want to be involved with DC on film. Probably not an awful lot, as I have a feeling he's done now. In the future he'll probably have his name on the film in the same way Tim Burton had his name on Batman Forever.

I'm sure that Nolan had some creative input, but the role of a producer is to organize and maintain the budget much more-so than being involved in the story/imagery. That's not to take credit away from Nolan, but I think that we should give Goyer and Snyder more of that credit. Just my two cents.

True.Goyer really doesnt get enough respect. For example not many people know that BBs script is actually 90% goyer an nolan gets all the praise.

That being said I am wary of Goyer being left alone and all signs indicate nolans out

Unless Jonah is involved helping David.

Jonah said he'd love to write more DC characters. Goyer should ask him to consult. They worked well together on TDK, and TDKR could've been better but I feel Chris tried to squeeze too much of all of Jonah's ideas in.

I think the bigger question now is "Which comes first?"

We already know Cavill and Snyder's answer to that, but it also boils down to which of the two Goyer has a better story for. Does he even have a story for one or the other?

And I can't see Goyer doing it by himself!

MOS 2 is first. There's no question about it.

There's a chance that MOS 2 could turn into Iron Man 2 when it comes to all the references and cameos. To be honest, I wouldn't mind this time around as long as the story is of quality with Lex.

I can see Batman or Bruce Wayne having a cameo in it since it doesn't seem like these DC movies will be having post-credit scenes.

I don't want any cameos in Man of Steel. Marvel Studios have their own thing going on and Warner Brothers do not need to emulate it, the characters don't need to pollute each other's series. Let them stand alone, and leave the crossovers to, well, the crossovers.
