Batman is working with Earth based technology. Therefore he can bend our laws of physics, not outright break them.

Now if he got his hand on some Apokoliptan tech, he can go balls to the wall fantasy. But doing that with human technology breaks the rules set by the universe where their Earth and our Earth is very similar. Main difference being the presence of fantastical alien players.

That other guy in the previous thread talked about Batman switching some tea, I have no beef with that.

Some of you guys are holding CBMs, and films in general to a ridiculous standard right now. I'm all for emphasizing Bruce's mortality, but this slavishly abiding by laws of physics and whatnot is boring as hell. If Batman gets stabbed, he should bleed and it should hurt. He should also throw people through walls.

The bastah acted like a mortal against Doomsday.

Bend rules to make **** more awesome(Batman straight up throwing people and grapple gunning like a boss) but keep rules to make stuff make sense(like not wearing a armoured suit all the time so as to mainting his agility/speed/whatever).Thats the mantra for me.

I gotta be honest, no logic will go into play for me when he is kicking some parademon ass, but i aint a nerd and dont nitpick this issh tho. :oldrazz:

Tru dat. When he is kickin' ass and taking names, all logic goes out the window for me. Just make that **** as epic as possible.

Batman's mortality = LOL

He's basically a god just like the rest of them. He can get smashed through walls, dodge Darkseid's rays and has 250 step contingency plans for every scenario. Sure he can struggle physically here and there but he's not human like us. And I'm fine with that. These are superheroes FFS, I'm not walking into a Tom Hooper biopic.

I had no problem whatsoever with the way Bats was handled in the fight with Doomsday. Avoiding the blows of a superhuman Kryptonian monster with no qualms against killing is a victory in itself. Most ordinary folks wouldn't have even survived such an encounter, but Batfleck's no ordinary man: he's a peak-human.

Also wonder how far they'll go with Deathstroke, considering he's been shown to not only match Batman in one on one. But also uses strategy and plot armor to defeat powerful metahumans in the DC universe that should be out of his league.

Stuff like tricking the Flash into running into his sword

Or being able to use his own willpower as a weapon against the Green Lantern

I'd certainly prefer they not go quite that far with Deathstroke.

Is "That's what Slade was counting on." like a catchphrase or something?

Since the DC universe is most notably compared to the Olympian Gods, I would say Bats is more Jason or Achillies. A human whose feats of heroism challenges the Gods themselves.
